I added mine back to my 2022 $141.00 on ford parts all day long. If someone is paying 200 and more they are nuts...

Would you be so kind as to share the part numbers? Did you just buy the actual knobs?I added mine back to my 2022 $141.00 on ford parts all day long. If someone is paying 200 and more they are nuts...

I usually scour the internet for these things when I purchase them. I mean I have gotten good deals on A LOT of stuff. But this is one I got boned onI added mine back to my 2022 $141.00 on ford parts all day long. If someone is paying 200 and more they are nuts...
I believe it was @FrankThompson that discovered the only real work you have to do to it, as far as programming, is dropping your as-builts into it when installingDang, that's tempting. Is Forscan magic involved or do these simply plug in and you are off to the races?

I thought they was going to be allot more looking on ebay and forms seeing what people were asking. So just for giggles looked at ford and u see what I paid.I believe it was @FrankThompson that discovered the only real work you have to do to it, as far as programming, is dropping your as-builts into it when installing
Also, I believe the price of these must've come down recently, because I'm fairly certain I looked on the ford parts site and they were $400-500. But memory is a fickle thing
Do you have a DTC, being a new unit and all?Mine were plug and play. I removed old and replaced new.
Not that I am aware of . No dash lights and have not used forscan to verifyDo you have a DTC, being a new unit and all?
Dayum that's a good price. When I got mine they were going for $300+ and I felt lucky to get mine for just over $200.Dang, that's tempting. Is Forscan magic involved or do these simply plug in and you are off to the races?

This is only the case if you've gotten a used one. if you get a new one that's never been programmed, you have to load your asbuilt onto it. You'll still get a DTC because it's not programmed for your VIN, but there is no CEL or anything due to it.Mine were plug and play. I removed old and replaced new.
How do you program it to your vin? Just a Forscan change?if you get a new one that's never been programmed, you have to load your asbuilt onto it. You'll still get a DTC because it's not programmed for your VIN, but there is no CEL or anything due to it.
as far as I know a dealer has to do it. I've never done it and don't plan to. The only benefit is the DTC goes away which I only see if I scan for codes. How do you program it to your vin? Just a Forscan change?
my 2002 and 2006 f350 had them as wellI recall having an '03 Mercury Grand Marquis LSE that had temp and fan speed setting on the steering wheel. Not sure why they stopped doping that. I thought it was a handy feature.
Not enough room for all the buttons nowadays maybe?
