Chrome bumpers for the bugs. Less paint for them to mess up. Plus you get those fine chrome plated tow hooks ?. But I went two toned, so what do I know.

Chrome and blue go good togetherWith my dark colored truck, I'll take the chrome. And I hate chrome. The only thing that's chrome that I HATE are the fender badges. Otherwise I think it creates a nice contrast. If I had a lighter color, like white, I wouldn't want the chrome at ALL.

I agree…if it’s the deep antimatter blue, or black, or any other deep color, the chrome pops off of it!!! I have and love that look.Chrome and blue go good together
This is an interesting topic because there is rarely any agreement. Some like like/hate chrome in any circumstances. Very Sharp truck! I feel the same way you do about the black wheels. I like them, but alot of the time they appear dirty and you can't really tell any detail in them like where the wheel stops and tire starts lol. If there is some machined color in there to break up the contrast i like them.I guess I’m old school…but I just have never warmed up to black/dark rims. I know alot of guys like that look now, and that’s all good. But for me, if there’s no contrast on the rims(if you’re going black rims you need some chrome/or polished aluminum on the rim to off set the dark rim), they appear dirty or soiled to me, and that’s what turns me off about the black rims.
It’s obviously just a personal preference, and I respect everybody’s preferences when it comes to their trucks, and as others have said, that’s what makes this forum, and passion for our rides so fun.
Btw, love all the pictures folks have posted.
Here are a couple of mine…just went out and took these as my girl gets ready before we head out for dinner. Lol.![]()

Mine was a custom order that was built wrong and the guy refused to take it. The guy built it to tow his Airstream trailer and didn't go wild with the spec list. It's actually almost exactly how I would have spec'd a build, if I were to custom order one. This is an interesting topic because there is rarely any agreement. Chrome with dark colors / high contrast is more a statement look. Chrome with light colors is more of an accent look.
Nice looking truck - I've never seen one (500a or 501a) in this configuration on the road, which is pretty cool.
