Just finished a 500 mile + trip in my 2023 and indicated mpg was 29.3, actual calculated mpg is 28.4. Those ecoboost engines and the 10 speed work well together.
My 2020 EB mustang regularly got 35 mpg highway, until I put a Cobb stage 2 93 octane tune in and mpg dropped to 32. Still better than Fords stated highway mpg.

Lets see that EVIC display showing the miles and distance travelled, and mpg!

Also, you didn't specify whether this was a 2.7 or a 3.5.

What speed are you driving at? On a 400 mile highway trip I got just under 24 setting the cruise around 70. On the way back set the cruise around 76 and pulled 18, there was also a consistently strong crosswind.

2.7 eb

I was going with traffic flow: usually 70-75, using cruise when appropriate but mostly not using cruise. I was keeping an eye on the instantaneous mpg indicator to keep the bar indicator as far to the right as I could consistent with safe driving (keeping up with traffic). I noticed that the bar indicator would stay fully right even on light grades at speed, if i kept a light touch on the throttle, which was a good sign. In 10th gear the vast majority of the time. Truck is a XL reg cab 8' bed, mostly empty

Was this just on normal drive mode or the eco setting?

That's some amazing mpg. I've got 3,400 on the odometer of my 3.5EB. Driving similar speed as you, I'd be lucky to squeeze out 21 mpg. Yes, using light throttle to just just barely maintain the speed can have the instant mpg indicator well above 25, but the slightest incline requiring any more throttle and the mpg tanks. I've got a platinum with moon roof, so there's some extra weight to carry, but also the lighter 26 gallon tank. I'm very close to sea level in Houston.

I admit I was surprised at that mpg figure, but it did correlate fairly closely with the dash display. Same with my Mustand EB: I was surprised when I got 35 before I modded it but I had a number of trips from northern VA to cape cod at that figure.
The best I ever got in a car was my 1990 Escort 1.9L 4spd- 44 mpg on that route.

Yeah that's what I've been saying all along! Mine was a solid 27-28 mpg on the highway and 24-25 combined.

When I was waiting, and waiting, and waiting, after putting in my order I was getting P.O.'d and thinking about possibly getting a -gasp- Silverado with the 2.7 but Chevy takes just as long as Ford to get a special order built and that motor doesn't get nearly as good mpg as the Ford 2.7, and it doesn't have the 10 speed standard, or all aluminum body work....what was I thinking! Besides I am a Ford fanboy.
