Unsprung weight typically has a multiplier of at least 4.

So 48x4=192

Tires have different rolling resistances as well, not sure if the Hankooks were very low and the Falkens very high.

lol yeah.. the hankooks might as well be slicks. Trash tire, worst one I’ve ever driven.

OP I swapped to Cooper ATs and my mileage went from 21.1 to 18.9 (3.5 Powerboost). I think they’re comparable to Wildpeaks (had those on my Tacoma). Unfortunately if you want a tire that can actually control your truck in weather, you have to sacrifice some mileage. The hankook mileage is vaporware if you’re not on a warm highway.

Everyone is spot on about heavier tires or wheel and tire combos hurting mpg.
But who buys a F150 for mpg?

I bought a Powerboost for MPG…

Why do you think the ecoboost was so succesful?

Never had any issues with the OEM tires in rain or snow. They get a lot of bad reputation though.

Still looking at replacement tire options knowing that my amazing mileage will suffer. It is nice getting 800 miles on a tank of gas now.
