My 2.7 drives better than my previous F150's with the 4.6 V8 (2004 and 2009) and 28 mpg on the highway to boot. Part of that is having the 10 speed-it works so well with the 2.7.
It's an XL, no approach lighting. This morning when I tried to start through the app, along with the "failed to start" notification, a window popped up that said "remote start disabled too many attempts. Please start and drive" So I did, started the F150 and after melting the windshield ice, I...
So, this morning, same thing: 14°, "vehicle failed to start". Mustang parked next to it started right up. Could there be some fault in the truck that forces to computer to not allow the remote start?
Yesterday morning after the failed remote start, it started right uo using the key.
Thanks for...
Yeah, it seemed weird to me. My Mustang started right up but the F150 "failed to start" this morning when it wax 13° F outside. the remote unlock wouldnt work either on the F150 so I was trying to connect the dots and the low fuel seemed a likely culprit. Though it might be an OTA update that...
I parked my 2023 XL with very low gas level last night (less than 8% range left) and the FordPass wouldn't allow remote start this darn cold morning (13°). I was PO'd at first but it made sense actually. After filling up at the gas station a mile away, remote start now working. Go figure...
I'm just a Ford fan boy and have been for a long, long, time. Gotta admit though, I like the look of tbe newest Silverado but it wasn't enough to make me buy one
I have had a couple of V8 F 150's (4.6 3v) and I really like the low end response of my 2023 2.7. I've never found it lacking in response or upper Rev power and it works so well with the 10R80. The revs stay pretty low and I love how it shifts up at low speed to keep revs down and mpg up. I get...
I did think about that-the 9nly part I was able to save from the old mirror was, ironically, the glass(!)-the plastic mounting lugs on the old housing were mostly broken. I'm a little hesitant to do that and possibly damage the new mirror assembly. Thing is, everything about the new unit looks...
I had to replace the RH rear view mirror on my 2023 XL long bed and ordered a replacement unit online-forgot just where I got it. The mirror fit perfectly, and it looked exactly the same as the original one: size, finish, Molding marks etc.
However, when I started driving with the new mirror...
The musty bad smell is from excess moisture that isn't draining out from the evaporator well. Suggest insuring that the drain hose isn't obstructed-leaves, dust and dirt can accumulate and block the drain. Like how mm e hvac systems, it is possible for algae to accumulate and grow and contribute...
Agree, lots of opinions here. I went with the factory reminder pop up on my 2017 F150, sold it at 56K miles and it ran great, in fact that was the most trouble free Ford I have ever had. I continue following the factory oil minder interval on my EB Mustang and my 2023 EB F150. Suggest Always...
I have remote start on my 2023 XL by way of FordPass and it starts with heat, which I like. Never tried in hot weather so I don't know about starting with A/C(?).
Attached pic of dash showing 29.5 indicated mpg. Actual measured later in trip was 27.8. Not particularly accurate but it begs the question how is it calculated? Any feedback on this?
Thanks
I tuned my Mustang EB 10R80 with a Cobb stage 2 tune and am very happy with it, runs great, 33mpg on highway.
With my 2023 2.7 XL I am leaving well enough alone. This truck runs soooo much better than my 2017 3.5 NA that I just don't want to take any chances; this is a work truck and...
I used the oil life monitor in my 2017 3.5 NA and it went about 10K between reminders always went with a full synthetic oil. That engine was pretty understressed IMO and when I sold it with about 50K on it, it ran smooth and quiet and I never had to add oil. My 2023 2.7 has about 4.5K miles...
