You can also hang a tennis ball on a string hanging from the ceiling, at windshield height. When the ball touches your windshield you stop. I had to do this for my wife even though my garage is 34 feet deep.

I just like scaring the crap out of my kids when I turn on the camera and just keep rolling after the parking sensor is screaming at me.

I only had 1.5 inches when I brought it home. Had to remove the garage door hinge to close it. So I ended up cutting open the wall and gained 3 inches.

now with the opening and 4x4 block I am around 4-5 inches in front off the truck.

If I pull in forward, my front tires hit the curb a couple inches before I hit the wall. Got lucky on that one. I'm usually backed in, though.

WOw I didnt even try to park my truck in the garage, my wife is trying to reclaim her space, we have a two door and I temporarly use is half for my tools, for three year now, I believe she forget it so far,,,

It’s not a great picture but this is my crew cab short bed as far into my garage as I could get. There are shelves built at the back wall for storage, a deep freezer, and garbage cans because my HOA doesn’t want them seen unless it’s pickup day. Where the truck is sitting my wife’s MKC fits with room to spare. To the right was where my previous suv ,a ford Edge, fit but was tight on the sides
As much as I enjoyed parking in the garage with my suv I knew the truck wasn’t going to fit so it’s spot is on the driveway

I was “smart” and asked for a 26’ deep garage when we built our house years ago. Just not smart enough to realize the side entry garage would require a 3 point turn with every entry and exit.

That reminds of a friend many years ago bought a Donzi boat and had to build a box out the back garage wall for the outdrive and cut the garage door for the trailer tongue to stick out a few feet.. He eventually tore it down and built a nice oversized garage

I went all through this thread before I got my truck hoping it would fit!

My garage measures 19'7" of clearance from the back molding to the inside of the garage door. 235 inches for a 232 inch truck... I've got 3 inches, but it fits! I have some wheel chocks stuck to the floor now to give myself a bump stop before I hit the wall. Might put a pad up just in case...

Our 1957 garage is roughly 23' deep but 18.5' wide. It is a really nice 1 car + 1 motorcycle size. Height doesn't quite accommodate the truck anyway.

We just finished a survey and will be evaluating next steps - detached garage or an addition.
