I've always felt bad about my loadout. You guys make me feel better that Im not the only one!

I have a small (~60 pieces) Craftsman tool set (sockets, ratchets, wrenches, screwdrivers) that's been in every one of my vehicles since 2003, (bought it at the old sears in Post Oak Mall: Gig Em!).

Tape measure, utility knife, washcloth sized towels in the rear driver door pocket. A few padlocks across different tool bags of straps and rope.

In addition to some of the other items already listed by others, I have an under seat bag that fits under the 1/3 section on rear passenger side (bought on Amazon) where I keep a rain jacket, a light jacket, some spare socks, a t-shirt, some mechanic type gloves from harbor freight.

Craftsman set with sockets, wrenches, allen wrenches, screwdrivers, Rain suit, Digital Voltmeter, gloves, rope, zip ties, straps, lockpick set, 2 LED Flashlights, tire inflator and pressure gauge, hydraulic botle jack, a .45 pistol and 2 extra mags.

Only when I am towing my wheeling truck.

Then its a case of three different lug nut sizes so I have a set to cover those eventualities, Impact wrench, and a selective variety of tools to cover any basic eventuality, wheeling truck and trailer. Oddball extra tools include Viair 88p which is an unbeatable air pump for tires, washer fluid etc..

Geez, some of you guys are loaded for bear. Other than a folding knife and led light in the glovebox, I have some gloves , a few ratchet straps, a folding army shovel, a 24 in breaker bar with the correct socket for the wheels, and a Fire Extinguisher under the rear seat along with the ball mount. Only when we are traveling do I add some bandaids and baling wire in the event of just such an emergency .

A small 2 1/2 lb BC dry chemical. Yes, it fits under the rear seat. I had optioned the lockable fold flat storage when I ordered the truck . I should put some sort of small med kit in there as well as both of us are former EMT's.

I keep full size spare loaded mags everywhere, in vehicles, by the door, etc... while carrying a mid frame. I hope I don't have to reach for the faster calibers, that'll be bad day if that level of escalation is required -- presence alone has been perfect for de-escalation. Love a good 45, but the double stacked capacity of a .40 gives me more little buddies and hollywood mags don't exist anywhere but on-screen.

I have a Swiss Army knife and a 5" Crescent wrench and a 24" breaker bar with a socket for the lug nuts . The Crescent wrench is to use to remove the battery cable in the event of a short in the electrical wiring. I have used it in this manner to prevent two car fires.

Too many times when I have gone to change out a tire the lug nuts were torqued on at too high a setting and I needed a breaker bar to loosen them. I started carrying a breaker bar and the size deep socket needed for the lugs used on the my truck. I buy the 1/2 inch drive non-marring impact deep lug nut socket so as not to scratch the wheels.

I do not carry a firearm as they make their owners less safe, even white guys.

I do not consider them as tools but I have always had a fire extinguisher and road flares in my trucks. More than half the calls the local fire department makes are to put out car fires on the freeway.

Lol! More for paper targets than bear. Although anything is better than nothing.

The tool kit is nothing special but had the right mix of what I generally need for quick adjustments or emergencies in a compact case. Any real work is done with my real hand tools at home.
