Oh wow…is your truck all stock or is it lifted/leveled? Cuz it’s weird how some PB owners have mediocre mileage while others are claiming outstanding mileage.65-70 MPH
It is kind of odd but there are so many variables.Oh wow…is your truck all stock or is it lifted/leveled? Cuz it’s weird how some PB owners have mediocre mileage while others are claiming outstanding mileage.
Stock. Just bought it last month.Oh wow…is your truck all stock or is it lifted/leveled? Cuz it’s weird how some PB owners have mediocre mileage while others are claiming outstanding mileage.
I make a 500 mile trip between North Alabama and Central Florida 4-5 times a year in my 21 3.5EB (not hybrid), I normally average 22-23mpg usually cruising at 75-80mph on interstateOnly 250 mile in, I am able to get 23+mpg with eco mode and drive like a grandma.
You have disrupted the already poor aero, and now get ready for additional un-sprung weight and rolling resistance.I've got about about 800 miles on my truck now with a 2" level installed and stock tires. I've seen a negligible difference in mpg .2 -.5 maybe. I'm averaging around 22-23mpg. I suspect once I add my tires it will be a different story.
I'm well aware, if you read back through this thread I've made many comments about being pleased with my PB's MPG. Unfortunately I can't leave things alone. I made it a year before I leveled it. I was just pleasantly surprised by the barely noticeable change after the leveling kit. I'm only going with 275/65/20 SL rated tires, which one size up. I'm trying to preserve my MPG as much as possible but also improve the look (to me) of my truck. Hopefully I'll still get over 20 on average. We shall see. I'll need to correct the Speedo as well. You have disrupted the already poor aero, and now get ready for additional un-sprung weight and rolling resistance.
Mileage is a thing because beyond the variation caused by vehicle things like lifts and tires, there's environmental variation. Looks like you live in FL, which is warm and flat, and pretty ideal for battery/hybrid applications. Those of us in places that are mountainous and cold have a much different situation. Not complaining...I like my mountains and cold, but it does cause some significantly different results. My commute is primarily turnpike and expressway with leaving the neighborhood and airport driving at the beginning and ends. The mileage I post is nothing new and I have posted similar pics here. I’m a little surprised PB mileage is still a thing because it’s very repeatable for mine thus far.
Do you know which gears you have in the rear diff?I make a 500 mile trip between North Alabama and Central Florida 4-5 times a year in my 21 3.5EB (not hybrid), I normally average 22-23mpg usually cruising at 75-80mph on interstate
