I’m sorry you’re feeling that way. I know I’m fortunate that after 33 years I can walk through the airport terminal and see the travelers or feel a 777 landing over my head and the mission burns right through the noise and the bullshit.30 year fed. Procurement analyst. This particular administration has burned me out with their nonsense initiatives (so-called climate crisis, DEIA, gender bending, etc, etc). Three years until retirement (praise be to Jesus). Can't get here soon enough.

I used to fix the camera systems for guys like you, and I worked on the door control systems too. Mostly in county jails, occasionally in prisons. I remember going into the GA diagnostic and intake prison one time the day after they had a riot. You could still faintly smell the tear gas. Inmates broke a water pipe and flooded out a door control cabinet. This setup was pretty modern, with touchscreens galore. To my amazement, the only actual damage was the UPS got fried. Temporarily plugged the power supplies to the equipment straight into 120v and it all worked fine. Some county jails don't have any money and are REALLY winging it on ancient stuff.CCTV Operator at the county jail, I watch inmates all day via CCTV and operate the doors and everything else electronic in the facility.
