What Ceramic coating works for you?

I put Meguairs M888 Beyond Ceramic on my Black Tremor this weekend. Looks good, reflects like a mirror. I hope it stays that way.

Looks good! I had my detailer ceramic coat mine using GTechniq crystal serum light and exo. States up to 5 years protection. He uses some sort of booster product every 6 months on it. Can vouch after a year it still looks great and holds up incredibly well. All I do is power wash in between the 6 month touch ups.

CQuartz UK 3.0 on paint, their DLUX product on plastics and wheels. Been using CQuartz for years, love it.

I use gtechniq crystal serum lite and exo with great results. I put it on my previous f150 that was black and now my current one(smoked quartz). I usually get about 3-4 years out of it here in Ohio. Also makes it to where I can use a leaf blower to dry my truck when washing.

I use Adam’s graphite 7 yr. Likely not the best but not the worst.

their kits and YouTube gives a weekend warrior good guidance to do it themselves.

I used Majestic Solutions Shield Carbon X graphene on my truck. Love the results

Just last weekend I did my buddies Accord with Gtechniq CSL and EXO.

Regardless of what coating system you use, the prep work is absolutely critical to getting good results. Both pictured I did a two step correction using Rupes pads, polishes, and buffer.

I have heard the dealership stuff is serious stuff, PPE (mask, gloves, etc) required. DIY stuff that way also?

Yes, also needs proper paint correction and prep, and must be done in and kept in a garage for at least a day to cure

I will say, Ive had two cars done...and my wifes black Highlander is SUPER easy since its coated.

I haven't tried it yet, but I've had the Cerakote speed ceramic kit in my garage for a while. I'm waiting until all of my Jetseal is gone.

My truck is new and the dealer put some sort of wax/sealant on it. It is super smooth and I doubt it needs any correction yet. So, can I just wash it and put one of these ceramic products on or do I need to get the stuff the dealer put on off first?

My Line-X dealer uses Onyx GP with yearly touch-up. Just purchased and had my wife's 2024 Escape done a week ago. They apply to paint, glass, rims, headlights/taillamps, and non-painted surfaces. It looks amazing and I love how they remove the tires and apply to the entire rim.

I am having my 2024 F150 done as soon as it arrives, it was blended on Thursday. I have only waxed my current/prior F150s because I lease. Not this time! It's getting ceramic!

I agree with others when they say it's not so much the product brand name as it is the preparation!

Is this diy friendly and were you able to do yourself? How much does it cost and how long does it take?

I used carpro cquartz uk 3.0 on my old truck and it was awesome for a year until the truck got totaled. I've got their new Dquartz to try when I get a weekend to do paint correction and coating.
