I installed the RCI front skid place in place of the felt diaper. Night and day difference in the pedal vibration.

I do think the pedal itself needs some dampening material behind it. I notice when I have bass heavy music, the pedal vibrates significantly to the bass, more than any other part. I might mount some rubber washers behind it, or cut a computer mouse pad to the shape of the pedal bracket. Seems like a pretty simple fix that Ford should have done to make things feel "smoother"

I took my 21 PB Lariat in this morning for this issue. The vibration occurs mostly in 8-10 gear. my local ford dealer found TSB 25-2383 and applied this. I need to drive more to be sure, but for now it seems gone.

Still a slight vibration, but much less than before. This is noted in the TSB, so for now I have to live with it.

Just picked up my 2025 XLT 5.0 w/ 3.73s that I had built. 50 miles on the odometer now. Vibration/grinding through the gas pedal comes on around 38mph and fades around 48. It peaks at 42-43mph. In fact, I can tell exactly when I’m going 42mph. Really annoying since a lot of my roads are 40mph limited. Doesn’t seem like there’s a solution here. I’m trying all different drive mode configurations. I feel like the air recirc on lessens it, but maybe that’s placebo.
I have a 2024 F150 with the 3.5L engine and the 3.55 axle ratio that I picked up last November. In the 11 months I've owned it, the gas pedal vibration between 40 and 48 MPH has been very frustrating. It sounds exactly like you describe in your truck. It takes the joy out of driving a $65,000 truck when I need to drive on roads with a 45 mph speed limit. I've had 3 different dealers drive it and each one told me it's normal operation of the vehicle and it's characteristic of the 10 speed transmission. I don't think it has anything to do with the transmission as the pedal vibration is so specific to 42 - 48 MPH under light acceleration or deceleration regardless of what gear the transmission is in. I'd love to hear of others with this issue and if anyone found a fix. I owned a 2013 F150 before this and never had anything like this pedal vibration in my 2024.

Exactly, I don’t love the vehicle because of it and it ruins the experience of having one built just for me and my spec. Dealer twice said it’s normal. It’s definitely not, and I’ll escalate to Ford and have a tech come out if I have to. One other “fix” I’ve seen on this forum is replacing the front differential, but that’s after months of complaints and having the Ford tech fly out to diagnose. I’m holding off on mods because I want to be able to walk away if I have to. I know some people aren’t as sensitive to this sort of issue. But I can’t stomach “it’s normal”.

I wanted to add here.

24 5.0 whipple 4x4.
3/6 drop.

Zero vibrations in the wheel or on the floor.

My vibration seems to come and go and I still think its engine harmonics sometimes.

Here is what ive done and where I have found rattles.

I did rubber mount the gas peddle.
Zero difference.

Front air deflector was rattling like a sob where it connects to the bottom of the fog light contraption. I dont have fog lights but the housing is there...so a couple zip ties took care of that.

Both heat shields over the cats had a vibration when I would hit the shocks with a rubber mallet.

My vibration seemed a little worse in turns. And felt like it was coming from the front.
This was the same way before the lowering kit.

Sometimes on the same road same speed it vibrates and then it doesn't.

Cruising at 80 on the freeway in cruise, this thing rides like a dream and once every couple trips on the same road same speed it feels like she.

35+ years working on cars and I cant explain it..

Thank you for the reply. It’s very strange. There are times when I think it’s improving, yet other times when it’s worse. Mine is the worst when trying to maintain speeds around 45 at very light throttle. It will even do it when it’s decelerating through 45 mph. I can always fell when I’m between 42 and 48 mph. Once I hit 48, it’s as smooth as can be. It makes no sense and I don't want dealers tearing the truck apart in an exploratory manner.

That’s funny you mention this. I noticed this weekend that I felt it at almost all speeds crawling through downtown. After sitting and driving again I reverted to the 38-48 only (strongest at 42) symptom

Those three dealers are blowing smoke up your ass. It’s not a normal characteristic of the 10 speed transmission. They’re flat out lying to you and they’re full of shit.

My truck also has a rotational humming/rumbling sound. it is at its worse at 31-33 mph and comes back around 45-50 mph. This is separate from the groaning under light acceleration from 55-70 mph. I just got the truck back from sitting at the dealership for a month. Of course, they could not replicate... Even after I drove it and pointed out the sounds and vibrations... The only thoughts I have on the lower speed issues are tires cupping or somehow the stock skid plate is flapping around. I'm going to rotate my tires and remove that "skid" plate to see if that changes anything.

Ford has a friction modifier that can be added to the transmission fluid. It is said to solve the torque converter shudder

Where can I find this at? I know there is also updates for it but I can't get the dealership to do them. I couldn't even get them to do the updates to fix the oil life monitor issue.

o the Motorcraft friction modifier is called XL3.
It can be found at the Ford dealership, parts counter. Many Ford mechanics have recommended adding this to the 10r80/10r80MHT. FordTechMakuloco it’s a big proponent of this additive.

Another product that is extremely popular is LubeGard instant shutter fixx. It is extremely popular and has quite a bit of very favorable reviews. It can be ordered online. It might be your local parts store. I’m not completely sure.

Now that you bring up the friction modifier, I’m really starting to wonder if it’s been the torque converter all along. I did a little test today when driving at 45mph. When I started to feel the vibration sensation, I did a light tap of the brake, and I felt the vibration sensation disappear. That seems like a torque converter issue, though surprising on a brand new truck that’s been doing this since it was new 11 months ago.

This is not aging well. It's as bad as before or worse in high gears.
