what did the torsen run you? How bad was the install?
The diff itself is only $650-700, but I strongly recommend a Purple Cranium diff cover with a drain plug which adds $80. Install at a Ford dealer was $2500, which was about what I expected. IMHO, this and good tires are the best off-road mods available, so it was worth it to me.

SPC alignment bolts - dealer wanted them. Don’t go to an alignment shop without these installed or you risk wasting time and money.

ordered tremor rear bump stops that are 0.6” longer to make up for the difference in collapsed length

So I guess my question for you after having done this, did you get the extra suspension travel in the front you thought you would or just the height?

Also what are the advantages of this path vs regular aftermarket, front coilover kits?

Nope didn’t confirm. I have my thoughts on it based on what I saw taking it apart and how it rides. But not enough evidence to post up here.

I will say the truck drives great. The parts are available. Rather than a fancy uca, you can spend a little more and do these uca and the knuckle. You can find low mile tremor ucas for cheap. These trucks are expensive and drive excellent, I want to maintain that.
I did tighten uca upper bolts at the new ride height. I also loosened the lower arms to reclock the bushings at the new ride height. If you reclock the lower bushings, add the camber adjuster kit. I believe reclocking the bushings did help the ride and was worth the hassle. I did it later do I got to drive it before and after.

it was apparent when the rear lost an inch of travel by adding the block with the same shocks. Now the rear should be 2.5” more travel, but the pack extended is at 1.5” more travel at static droop.

The uca is definitely shaped differently. It’s hard to get a grasp on it.
This depression right here on the Tremor UCA makes it seem like the ball joint is angled out more, so the joint would be at less of an angle from its center line at max droop. Seem right?

And thanks for all the info. Got a set of knuckles very cheap. Seems like right now a lot are just listed as "F-150 knuckles" and are priced like commodity parts. I expect that to change eventually.

That was my takeaway on it as well. The other important area to look at is the mounting surface of the lower ball joint to wheel hub area. That's a point where 'lift' can occur.

I agree with that. Also the mounting for the ball joints on the knuckle could be different angles as well.

These 2 points matter (photo) as the distance between the LCA mount location and the hub assembly dictate the potential lift. The closer the hub is to the LCA, the more lift achieved. It the BEV unit appears to push the knuckle out a little further while shrinking the gap some. The combination of those 2 movements will provide lift. The 2 parts would need to be put on a jig and use a flat plate to really spec it all out but it appears there's several subtle changes that combine to give it a taller stance. The BEV part is clearly has more aluminum where it matters.

Icon released a whole load of upgrades for our trucks. One part that stands out is their tremor knuckle. It’s half price of the factory part but should be similar. Once you have this part, it looks like you can order a kit from their new tremor lineup.

Question with regard to the Tremor knuckle and CV angles. Did you notice there CV angles are harsher after install? The reason I ask is the hub location is now lower? which would increase the CV angles?

Nothing stood out to me as alarming.

I used a spacer lift rather than the tremor used more preload to get the additional ride height. So at full droop my cv are at a more extreme angle than a tremor at full droop. Again I don’t notice an issue.

now that icon is in the mix, I would talk to them. I did the best I could at the time but I’d expect them to have more information

Thank you. I did talk to Icon but the tech I talked with had no clue. Lol. He didn't even understand the difference between the Tremor and regular F-150 knuckle.
