The powerboost emblem on my passenger door is not straight. I keep trying to live with it but I guess my personality just can't stop noticing.
Been doing some searching online and found some folks that have de-badged the car using fishing line, plastic trim removal tools etc. It seems that adhesive often remains stuck on the paint and then has to be removed with goof-off etc.
Is there any way or truck to just peel enough that you can just slightly twist the front edge downwards without full removal? Or if you completely remove the badge, and you lose most of the adhesive, is it still sticky enough to be reapplied? Is there a vehicle-paint tape out there or anything?
I thought maybe I'd just buy a new badge, thinking they'd be $10 or something.... looks like minimum $50 for the stupid thing.
I could ask the dealer to do it under but I'm always reluctant they'll be careful with the paint etc.
Any tips or hints to reuse the existing badge would really be appreciated.
