Good morning,
Yesterday I took my 2022 PowerBoost into the dealership because of a low vibration/hum at 1500–1900 RPM, occurring at any speed and in any gear as long as the engine was engaged. It only happens briefly and when the gas is barely pushed. The technician was able to duplicate the issue and performed a known TSB (Technical Service Bulletin).
During the post-test, they found erratic shift patterns, torque converter shudder (which they identified as the low vibration/hum mentioned above), and have 100% recommended a complete transmission replacement at a cost of $11,500. They explained this is because the torque converter is internal to the transmission.
