What is the top speed people have achieved, or is there a governor that shuts it down?

That's interesting. I thought they let the 5.0 have a little more top speed because it takes longer to get there...

EDIT: I had a 1975 Pontiac Ventura with a big block 350 and very tall gears.. Had it to 136 mph once and only once. It stated to float about 120 mph. Did keep the underwear clean, but took a hard squeezing action.

Not that it happened in an F150. Yes I was teenager, so totally immortal, but I did do 120mph plus on a French autoroute.

My 69 Firebird had a speedo that went to 160. I took it to 140 once but when the steering wheel feels like nothing, you stop feeling invincible really fast.

No harm done but never felt the need to reach that far again.

Yesterday, my 3.5 Eco reached 111 mph in Sport Mode on a four lane stretch of interstate. Upon reflection, not a wise move.

being 18 and invincible, caused us to do lots of DUMB things back then
my grand dad chewed me a new one when i got to his house in 2 hrs vice the normal 3 1/2 i think i walked crooked for a few days after he broke his leg off in my rear area. he never told my parents. it was our secret.
