An aggravating aspect of selecting a driving Mode (other than Normal) is it reverting to Normal when starting the truck. I wish Ford would change this with an OTA.
Well, I just noticed when driving in Sport mode, when I shut the truck down and restart, I get a pop up message asking if I want to start in Sport mode. Has this always been there or is it a recent update?

I usually like normal or sport, but is their really a point to eco? Other than castrating the 5.0 it doesn't seem to make a MPG difference.

The only difference I see in MPG in sport vs normal is how much more heavy my foot gets in sport.

What I'd really like is a mode halfway between normal (which lugs the engine down to 1200 rpm and makes it drone) and sport which is a bit too aggressive for normal driving. For my truck, (3:55 gears) it needs to be above 1700 rpm to not constantly have to shift down and up on hills and 55mph county roads. In normal, it's actually a very annoying truck to drive.

I've never driven truck with 3.73 gears so all I can say is normal mode with 3.31 gears is pretty boring. Even in sport mode it doesn't really take off until 3rd gear. I'm ok with this cus it's a 5.0 truck not a mustang. I do thoroughly enjoy the engine growl.

I leave mine in Normal most of the time, although sometimes I’ll switch to Sport when I run a tank of E85. Perfect combo with 3.73s out back.

"Even in sport mode it doesn't really take off until 3rd gear"; that's the difference between 5.0L and 3.5EB. Trust me, the Ecoboost is amazing from the standing start. I feel like a traitor to the 5.0L Coyote, as It's built in my home town of Windsor, ON (Essex Engine Plant). I don't feel too bad though, as it wasn't a 2022 Tremor option.

I get it. I drove a 3.5 and it is amazing from a dead stop. I still prefer the V8 for sound and smoothness of the motor without turbos.

In the 5.0 trucks, I'm 99% sure that the only thing Eco mode does is turn down the throttle sensitivity. It's not going to improve highway mileage. All it really does is make driving conservatively in the city a little more mindless, since you aren't having to be as cautious with the throttle.

If you're already good about staying light on the throttle in normal mode, then you're not going to see a difference.

Yep - In Sport mode I can match my city MPG of normal mode just by being conscious of how much foot I am putting into it at takeoff. Hard to not make that Coyote growl a bit though and sink your mpg haha.
