A tip while things get hammered out, especially if writing a long post. Once done, right click, select all, copy. THEN hit post.

It is aggravating enough, for the site to have problems but if it eats a time investment while doing so, it is doubly aggravating.

There were a couple times when I was googling for something or another related to my truck that I was researching, and the result was something here. I understand having server issues, as an admin of a site myself. What confused me was that even for some older posts, I went to archive.org and pasted in the URL but Wayback had never archived it.

Is there a setting on the forum sites telling archive to not index? I could check the robots.txt but thought I'd just talk out loud... having cached copies of the forum would have come in handy. I don't even remember what it was I was looking up and probably found the info I needed elsewhere, but ever since getting my truck, I've found this site to be pretty helpful and the users generally knowledgeable so it was my preferred result.

Is Die Hard a Christmas movie?
I recall a column decades ago about differences between democrats and republicans at Christmastime.

One was favorite Christmas movie: Miracle on 34th Street for democrats, It's a Wonderful Life for republicans. And a bonus entry on this one, Die Hard for Reagan Republicans.
:teehee:

Another was that republicans bought their little boys toy guns, while democrats refused to do so--which is why they had to shoot one another with their sisters' barbie dolls!

The 4 year old Motorcraft battery failed to start the truck
In all fairness to the site, it seems to be far more reliable than a motorcraft battery!

😱🤪

Due to the site being down, I had to snuggle up and watch a movie with the Wife.

P.S. - If anyone has an alert bubble that they can't clear, try this solution:

1) open your full alerts page: https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/account/alerts?show_only=all

2) scroll down to the bottom of this page and click on "select all" and "Mark read" then click "Go". This should hopefully clear your alert bubble.

3) if that didn't work, repeat step #2 for all successive alert pages (if you have any) - i.e. pages 2, 3, etc..

Thanks for posting this. Was driving me nuts trying to sort out the stuck alerts.

It was showing several for me and refused to clear until I clicked on "Unread" at the top left of the alerts page. There were 4 showing that showed as having been read but were stuck in the unread section. I had to select each of them and mark as unread then mark them as unread to clear the alert.
