Yowza, that’s not a little. Appreciate the heads up!I would say a little while on the module updates... I can't speak to the OTA updates however.

No OTA history recorded at al for your truck. Looking through your vehicle history, is shows an APIM config process was done with FDRS in August 2022, but Oasis does not show any records of your truck being at the dealer that day. Do you have or plan on getting a Mongoose/FDRS to update your truck?Just picked up a “new to me” 2021 501A Lariat. Suspect it’s missing several OTA and module updates.
Appreciate any help tracking these down so I know how long to expect the truck to be at the dealer when I drop it off.
Thanks!

The truck was sold by the previous owner to the dealership in July I believe, and owned by the dealer in August through September. Not planning on getting the Mongoose/FDRS yet, but need to take the truck into the dealer for some other recall/TSB work. Figured I could add this to the list as well.No OTA history recorded at al for your truck. Ford does not pay them to perform module updates. Your truck is talking to Ford's servers fine. I don't really have a good explanation as to why it hasn't gotten any updates. If the APIM was replaced, they did not PMI it which could be the reason why. However, it is not clear whether they did or not, and there is no explanation as to why an APIM config procedure was done, either. The truck was sold by the previous owner to the dealership in July I believe, and owned by the dealer in August through September. Your last few updates have failed to install. The update in your queue currently is failing due to low SOC which is very common with that particular update. I recommend you take the truck for a nice 20-30 minute drive at night before you park it. When you park it, attached a battery charger to it (10amp+ AGM charger is recommended) and set your auto-updates schedule to install at 4am or so after the truck has been on the charger for a few hours. This will not guarantee that it installs, but it will greatly increase the chances of it installing.Hello,
My truck has an update that has been failing about 5 times now and I can’t figure out why, the message in FordPass is not really helpful as it doesn’t tell which of the preconditions is not being met. Can someone please help me with if you can see anything by looking up the VIN?

Your update history looks good. You are missing a few updates to be fully up to date, but none of the updates you are missing will give you anything new.....they are just preparatory updates for the future. I don't think you need a Mongoose.1FTFW1ED9MFA85630
I am curious about the OTA updates and module updates? I was current for quit a while and now nothing for a while. Just thinking of dropping the hammer on buying the mongoose.
Thanks

I responded to you on the other thread. Your truck is on the latest Sync. Nothing to be worried about as far as updates go.Looking to see if maybe there is some updates I missed as well. This thing does some weird shit sometimes lol, and software not being updated could explain a lot of it. 1FTEW1C52NFA78012
They were working on it yesterday. The screenshot below shows what they worked on:Could you please look at the PTS history and see if the dealership has accomplished anything on my truck? Been two weeks with almost zero info from the advisor.

Appreciate it! I know they had to replace a failed diesel particulate filter already at 35,000 miles but the other stuff is odd. It looks like they have not tried fixing the failed OTA update yet or verified that I already applied the trailer relay module update and already activated bluecruise on my dime. They were working on it yesterday. I'm not a tech, so I am not sure what they were doing or trying to accomplish just from looking at this, but they did work on it. This morning, they pulled up your VIN in PTS, but that's about it.
You had the latest APIM update go through on 9/19, but the IPC update has failed many times as it did on my truck. The only time I have been able to get my IPC to update has been with FDRS. Jesse thinks there are truck out there with a faulty ethernet connection that prevents them from getting IPC updates via the OTA process and I am confident my truck is one of those. Looks like yours might be, too.Appreciate it! I know they had to replace a failed diesel particulate filter already at 35,000 miles but the other stuff is odd. When I did the updates for bluecruise, the ipc update over USB failed multiple times and I had to wait for the slow 5 hour alternate option to finish. I only had to do this once that I remember but the latest ipc ota update also refuses to install which I'm hoping Ford will look into and possibly replace some parts. You had the latest APIM update go through on 9/19, but the IPC update has failed many times as it did on my truck. Do you remember if your truck ever got the old IPC updates (2.7.3 and 2.7.4) via OTA?
Ok, same as me. Chances are, the only way you will get the IPC update that has failed OTA 5 times on your truck will be the slow way via FDRS just like last time. When I did the updates for bluecruise, the ipc update over USB failed multiple times and I had to wait for the slow 5 hour alternate option to finish. I have told the service advisor that multiple updates to this module have failed and require a CAN bus connection to proceed with the update instead of the OTA or USB simple method. Hopefully they look into it a little further. The main reason this truck is sitting at Ford is the fact that the diesel emission system was self destructing and it looks like they are replacing parts on it. I also had a pile of recalls on it including the axles which are both getting replaced on the rear end.Ok, same as me.
