Your truck's 60 DTC history is very clean.
Thank you sir...Just strange..that is all. I wonder if it is too clean?

I don't have FDRS on my work computer to check for modules pending updates. However, your truck is on Sync 21233 and you not having full-screen capability means your truck is not up to date for sure. There are no OTA's in your recent history and no OTA's in your queue at this time. From what I can see, that last time your truck was updated was in May of this year where a dealer performed many module updates, but you have not gotten any OTA's since then. Ford does not pay dealers to perform modules updates, so there is no verbiage in your case that I can give you to get them to do it. Ford's OTA process is garbage and other than investing in the tools needed to update the truck yourself, there is nothing you can do but wait for the updates to randomly get sent you and hope they install successfully when they do get sent. In your case, I would recommend updating the truck yourself.

I am assuming you don't have your Fordpass set up as they are certain things I cannot see in your truck. None of the things I can't see will allow me to provide any more help. The reason I mention it is because if your Fordpass is set up and I can't see the things Fordpass allows me to see, then there may be a problem with your TCU which would prevent you from getting updates.

Your truck is a different animal altogether. Your truck is on Sync 20301 which is very old software from 2020 which is known to break the OTA process on early first production run 2021 trucks. Without dealer intervention, your truck will never get another update.

Set an appt with your dealer and tell them your truck has not received an update in 2.5 years. They need to manually update your APIM or replace it which is what they will most likely do. You can refer to Ford TSB 22-2404 when you talk to your service advisor. Once they get your truck out of its current state, you will start getting updates, but it will be a loooooong time before you are caught up. Due to the current strike, it may also be a looooooong time before they can order you a new APIM if they cannot fix the current one by following the process outlined by Ford in the TSB I referenced.

Once your truck is out of it's current state, I would also recommend updating it yourself.
Well I actually do have my FordPass app all set up so maybe there’s a setting I have to fix for you to be able to see that stuff? The dealer just informed me that when they installed the new radio per ford HQ’s orders (when they did the module updates), they didn’t set automatic updates to on, they left all the settings default and I guess that one defaults to off. So I’m hoping maybe I can get the truck back and try to connect to my Wi-Fi at home to check. It’s just strange because I manually checked the system when I recently got back from deployment, but who knows. I can look too, but do you know the estimated cost of doing it yourself?

thanks again for all the help, it’s much appreciated.

Can you remote start your truck with Fordpass? Is it actually working?

Setting auto-updates to on don't mean much. Most updates will still come in and install with auto-updates set to off. Only updates that require the vehicle to be inhibited would not go through if you have auto-updates off.

To do the updates yourself, you would need a Windows laptop, a 10amp+ AGM battery charger, a 64GB+ USB drive, a Mongoose VCI cable ($540) and a 2 day license to access FDRS which is the Ford tech software that allows you to update modules. If you don't want to spend the money on the cable, I can add you to the list to borrow one of mine here:

https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/thr...mming-vehicle-interface-lending-thread.13145/

The first thing we need to determine is if your TCU is working and your truck is talking to the Ford servers. In your truck settings, do you have all data-sharing turned off? If so, that would explain why I cannot see basic things like the mileage and other basic data for your truck. However, if you do have data-sharing on, then there is a problem with your TCU and that would explain why you aren't getting updates (TCU = telematics control module).

Thank you for your service. You'll find there are a lot of people on this forum willing to help you out. If you ever drive down to Miami, I'd be happy to update the truck for you. Free of charge.

Thanks a lot! I really appreciate the offer and I may take you up on that sometime if I can make my way down there.

um the dealership actually still has my truck currently. They’re doing an oil change and seeing what they can do with the sync issue. I imagine they’re going to land at “there’s nothing more we can do” and that’ll be that.

To answer your questions, yes I am able and have been able to remote start my truck effectively from the app and remote. Um, those other settings might be defaulted to off as well or I might have selected to not have that tracked, so that may be my fault. When I get it back I will check to see if it is turned on and if not, I can do so and let you know so maybe you can take another look.

"Fault" is not the right word; some people prefer not to have their truck sharing info with Ford for whatever reason. I'm just trying to figure out if your TCU is working or not. Based on what you just said, I'm sure it is working fine and you just have data sharing set to off. Turning those features on won't allow me to see anything useful that would allow me to do more. Like everyone else, you're just a victim of Ford's crappy OTA process and you're dependent on them randomly sending you what you need to get what you want. I don't think there is anything wrong with your truck.

I would not hold my breathe for them to help you with updating it. There is nothing there that they can bill Ford for that will entice them to spend hours upon hours doing all the updates your truck needs to be fully updated. The update that gives you full-screen is one of several that take a few hours to do.

The TSB is still active, so this will be covered without you having to come out of pocket.
So what would I tell the dealer ? Mention TSB ? I took it in Already a few months ago , and asked them about the updates , and they said since it’s passed 36m miles I would have it come out of pocket for them to check or fix it

Oh, didn't notice you were out of warranty. I don't think they would do it if that's the case. Doing this yourself is possible, but it not easy for someone who has never done something like before. It requires plugging directly into the module with a series of USB cables. Look at the TSB I attached earlier and see the steps required to force the update onto your APIM to get it out of its current state and lmk if this is something you feel comfortable doing.

Looking for any Sync updates or module updates please and thank you.
1FTEW1E83NFB08285

I recently got an update on Sync except it didn't have an update number, so I'm not sure what it was.

Thanks in advance, of course no rush.

Edit: I'm curious about this one 23-PU0327-DSP-AMP, since I recently experienced the loud static that wouldn't go away until I disconnected the battery.
Can someone check my vin when time allows I have had the static as well !

You have gotten a lot of updates recently, and many people have reported this after recent updates. As far as I know, no one has been able to pin-point the cause. It does not seem like your Fordpass is connected or you have data sharing turned off because I am not able to see if your truck is recording any DTC's.
