I too love reg cabs... had 3 RAM RC Hemi trucks and loved them. But, that cab was much larger than the F150. There was easily 18in of space and a bin behind the seats. Last year I went to my local dealer fully expecting to drive home in a RC 5.0. It was just not practical for me. There is just no room behind the seat for anything. Maybe if you put a tool box in the bed it might work for you but I think Ford builds these as work trucks so not much room for "stuff" in the cab. I ended up with a SC. Love the suicide doors and it is much, much quieter (less road noise) than the RC. That said, if it is totally a play toy, the RC is a great platform to mod. Guys here have done some really nice trucks...I love all the regular cab trucks in here! Got a quick question. How many of yall maybe downsized from say a crew cab to single cab, and if so how was it adjusting not having that extra interior space? I'm considering selling my gmc 1500 at4, have no kids, middle aged I guess they call it lol, and rarely have passengers in the back. I love the look of the single cab and feel it should do just fine for grocery trips and carrying my surfboards. Any input from you regular cab experts!![]()
Yes I loved those Ram RC trucks they were sweet wish they would come back out with them, RT or Sport! Funny I had a quad cab Ram sport 2015 model, was a great truck, loved the hemi and an 03 gmc sierra slt extended cab, actually traded that in for the 2015 had it forever, and then after the Ram went back to gm trucks, all crew cab as they always seemed to have the best deals. You have a great point, the Ram trucks did have lots of room behind the seats compared to gm and ford, heck I thought I remembered some of the ram rc even had sunroof as an option which I used all the time in my gmc so guess I would miss that too. I think you and I have talked myself out of it, maybe will try for a supercab or crew f150 XLT as I really like the new look of them. Never had a ford truck, always looked and never ended up buying one, will see might still look at this regular cab and see how it is before writing it off.I too love reg cabs... had 3 RAM RC Hemi trucks and loved them. I went from a 2005 ZR2 Blazer to my '22 XLT RCSB. Would have gotten another Blazer but mine was the final year for the 2 door. Tried getting a Heritage model Bronco but it just wasn't availalbe at the time. Looking at all the issues they have I'm now glad I didn't.I love all the regular cab trucks in here! Putting stuff in the bed is a little more trouble than putting it in the cabin. This is my first truck, so the first time I had to do this. I have adapted quickly and don't mind it one bit!
Regarding cabin size, I can put my passenger seat forward and recline back and take a nap. The truck drives plenty quiet to me, no complaints there.
I'm one to value style first. I only buy vehicles that I love the look of. For me that eliminates any four door. Then I easily and happily keep 'em for 10-20 years.
Here's my Blazer at nearly 19 years old. Plenty of comments and love from people on the street. I miss it but it was time. My XLT will still look this good many years from now!![]()
I like those wheels you have. What size are they if you don’t mind sharing.I’ve been waiting 2.5 months for mine and just gave up on it. Started looking locally for one. I managed to find me one last weekend about 3.5 hours from. It’s just like I wanted. 2WD, Antimatter blue, and 101A package. I already put a Corsa extreme catback, S&B CAI, American Thunder wheels, and a little fatter tires on it. Also did the Ford rest drop shackles, though after these photos. I’m very pleased with the look of these 2024 XL trucks.

I went from a 05 Super Crew to a regular cab. Had the 05 for 8 years. I seldomly used the back seats for anything other than gathering crap. When I bought it, I was the primary taker to school of my kids. With my kids being 16 and 19, I no longer need that big of a truck to just haul crap around. It was my only extended ca and I liked the truck, but I can't say I was super in love with it. My two RCSBs I've owned though is a different story.I love all the regular cab trucks in here! I had a 2018 Supercrew before my current reg cab. In the 3.5 years I had it I can probably count on my two hands the number of times I actually had passengers in the rear seats. Honestly do not miss the cab space at all.I love all the regular cab trucks in here! Got a quick question.
