I actually do have that fuse, and it's not blown, so I wonder if all I'd need is the auto stalkI did notice my truck had this fuse in the engine compartment area too. Tanish 5 amp fuse.

yOU HAVE AN xl.. THe circuit is not complete.I actually do have that fuse, and it's not blown, so I wonder if all I'd need is the auto stalk
One of the first things I did was test for power at that plug before buying the sensor. As a data point, the date on my sticker is 09 20 22 which is definitely a late ‘22.sEEMS THE LATE 22 STALKS WORK without the Auto stalk. When I originally did mine I tried and got a DTC for the Switch. So I installed the new stalk and they worked then. I was made aware by @riderryan92 he did this without the stlk. He has a late 22.
Also not all of the plugs at the windshield are live. They are all there but not all wired completely.
Its hit or miss. Only way to really know is to try it.
Thats why We sell it complete. We cant continue to try we sell it and know it will work
As far as the Power and Lin bus being there that is based on trim. Not year. Wont matter the year if you have an XL its not there. One of the first things I did was test for power at that plug before buying the sensor. Thanks for the suggestion, I tried it and it didn't clear my DTC, it just turned on my headlights. My guess is they default to on when the signal they are looking for isn't there, which seems to still supports Jesse's info that the rain sensor circuit is not connected on XL trucks.I had to change 726-39-02 xxxx xxxx x* in BCM from a 0 to a 1 (Rain light sensor present) to make mine work on a 22 Lariat, may be worth looking at.
Thank you for giving us the details! I’ve been wanting to do this too. I had it in my Plat and got used to it… now if it would rain in central Texas ?I recently added the rain sensor to the cavity in the windshield up behind the rear view mirror.
Wait, you didn't have it on the Lariat? My 2021 base Lariat has them. Maybe because I have the 360 cameras and adaptive cruise.I had to change 726-39-02 xxxx xxxx x* in BCM from a 0 to a 1 (Rain light sensor present) to make mine work on a 22 Lariat, may be worth looking at.
There’s only three wires in the plug to check, I don’t remember which ones are 12V positive, ground, or LIN. On one combination (there’s only three combinations you can try, outside-outside, middle-left, middle-right) you should see 12V, the other combination is a drifting voltage signal that changes due to it being the LIN bus signal.Dumb question, which pins did you check for voltage and what readings are you looking for.
Thanks
Thanks, just wanted to make sure it was 12V and not something elseThere’s only three wires in the plug to check, I don’t remember which ones are 12V positive, ground, or LIN. Options all cut, no nav, no xmWait, you didn't have it on the Lariat? My 2021 base Lariat has them. Maybe because I have the 360 cameras and adaptive cruise.
Thanks for the tip — it would be great to have rain sensing wipers on my new Lariat! I ordered the module today and will have it installed at my local Ford dealer along with the other accessories I ordered in about 1-2 weeks. I’ll send an update after it’s installed.I recently added the rain sensor to the cavity in the windshield up behind the rear view mirror.
Ill sell it you just have to ask me. We pulled it from the page because some peopl ewere buying 20 at a timeIf anyone buys the kit from infotainment but finds that they don't need the harness it comes with, I'd be interested in buying it. I checked with them and they said they don't sell the wiring harness separate from the kit.
