I also have a 2021 502A with Co-pilot 360 Assist 2.0, 360°, Dynamic Bending Headlights, LED Fogs and Rear Parking Sensors. I added the four sensors and the correct front bumper wiring harness a few weekends ago. Finally had time to program for them yesterday with no luck. I wish I had taken better pictures of the main bumper wiring connector to see what might be missing...

I'll update as I have more info.
Which areas do you want pictures of? I have quite a few taken of how the wiring harness is supposed to be connected.

I figured this out, I stopped being lazy and read through the thread. I found someone else had the same issue and ended up resolving it with the IPMA module text edit method of Forscan. They changed "Park Assist - Front" from disabled to enabled. I did the same thing and this resolved my issue.

I compared the As-Built data before and after and found the address needed to enable "Park Assist - Front" is:

706-12-01: 1xxx xxxx xxxx
0 =FCPALBP Disabled • FCPADT Disabled • FCPAVDT Disabled • MFCPAF Off
1 =FCPALBP Disabled • FCPADT Disabled • FCPAVDT Disabled • MFCPAF On

That value was 0 and just changed to 1. Hopefully that can get added to the front page so others don't get stumped, or they can just stumble across this post.

Thanks.
Thanks for the note. I’ll repost you notes on the front page.

Thank you for the offer of pictures. I wish I had taken a few of the main bumper connector. Just interested if I am missing any of the wires needed that connect the sensors to the rest of the system.

Unfortunately, my weekends will be tied up for a while and am not sure when I'll be able to return to this project.

Hey guys I just wanted to get some input. I am looking to do the same thing and add front parking sensors but i just wanted to make sure i was not missing out on my current features on my truck with the new front harness.

I have a 2021 Lariat PB got my hands on a 2024 front bumper with parking sensors.

with the harness (ML3Z-15K867-NA) on the main page the dealer could not confirm if the harness has the active air dam option on it.

I have the ACC,LED fog, Air Dam in my harness from what i see.

Changing the wiring harness did not impact my active air dam. It still worked after making the change.

I have quick question

By any chance would anyone happen to know if the sensor fittings for the 2021-2023 will fit the 2024-25 bumper?

I picked up a set of sensors from Amazon. I am unsure what differences the parts would/could have from the supremely overprices official outlets... so who knows. Maybe what I'll do is try to plug one of these into a rear existing spot to see if it works and the truck doesn't throw a fit.

4Pack Backup Parking Aid Assist Sensor Compatible for For-d Bronco F-150 2021 LU5Z-15K859-AAPTM Parking Distance Sensor Reversing Radar : Amazon.ca: Electronics
Did you ever install the cheaper sensors? Did they work? The sensors are very pricey compared to what they used to be. Even the active park assist sensors are less than $25 each. But they are a different part number compared to the front and rear park aid sensors.

I didn't ever end up trying. I thought my sensors were borked, but it turned out it was my misunderstanding of how the various sensors detected in terms of distance and angle. I ended up returning the 3rd party ones I bought without installing them. Sorry!

When I added Cruise 2.0 to the front, I didn't bother with the harness that supports the front sensors because I didn't want to have to change out my IPMA (or one of the modules, I can't remember which) since my module doesn't support them as far as I can tell.

I can now say that everything works correctly. The truck recognizes the front sensors, they display and alert correctly, and trigger the front camera when i come close to an object in front of the vehicle.

UPDATE (14SEP24): Some have noted that their front sensors did not activate with just the above FORSCAN changes. They noted an addition change was required for theirs to work.

(Credit - RANORRIS2): I found someone else had the same issue and ended up resolving it with the IPMA module text edit method of Forscan. They changed "Park Assist - Front" from disabled to enabled. I did the same thing and this resolved my issue.

I compared the As-Built data before and after and found the address needed to enable "Park Assist - Front". I changed the initial digit under 706-12-01 from a 0 to 1.

706-12-01: 1xxx xxxx xxxx
0 =FCPALBP Disabled • FCPADT Disabled • FCPAVDT Disabled • MFCPAF Off
1 =FCPALBP Disabled • FCPADT Disabled • FCPAVDT Disabled • MFCPAF On
I'm trying to follow along with the changes you made and just wanted clarification on one point. (I'm a newbie, so thanks in advance for your patience).

Line one of your chart highlights in RED on the Change To column the letter "A" emphasizing that you changed your AS Built "8" to an "A" in that position and that change enabled ODCV. Hex digit 10 shows as changed from "C" to "E". Livinitup's spreadsheet would indicate that MFCREMH was moved from disabled to enabled. However, digit 10 wasn't highlighted in RED on the Change To Column. And I don't know what to make of digits #11 and #12 since they don't show up in Livinitup's spreadsheet. Can you help me understand how I should think of digits 9 and 10 (are they just like the preceding 8 digits) and do digits 11 and 12 simply not matter or are they calculated check digits of some sort. Thanks for both your work, documentation and inspiration!!

Figured i would provide a write up on what i have done thus far to try and add the Forward Sensing System to my 2021 King Ranch, Powerboost, with the 601A package (Chrome Bumpers) and then seek everyone's assistance on ideas as to how to enable the front proximity sensors within FORSan.

One other quick question: Can you remember which IPMA tab you used on Livinitup's google spreadsheet? He has "IPMA 706","IPMA_MY22","IPMA - 2023","IPMA(BC1.4)-706" ,OR "IPMA (2024-AB)".
His whole spreadsheet is titled 2021-2024 F150, but the IPMA tabs are different.

Here's what I'm doing. I'm taking your "Change From" values and then looking them up on the spreadsheet to see what your starting point was. I got stuck on the second line 706-02-01. The IPMA - 706 Tab has no "73" value for the first two digits where the IPMA (BC1.4)-706 does. Other have a value, but it doesn't match your 2021 year. Sorry for pestering you. Thanks!

It has been a while for me but I seem to recall that digits 9 and 10 don’t really matter. They will change automatically as you change the other values. I am sure there is some logic in the system that does a reference table lookup, but I don’t know how that lookup works myself.

When I added the front sensors, MY22 just released. I would have used the tab for MY21. The other tabs didn’t exist then.

Thanks for the detailed write up! I am looking to do this mod on my '21 Lariat 500A now that i have decided to keep the truck for at least another 5 years.
I went through the thread but i didn't see if I anyone with the same options/trim has confirmed that the truck has the required wiring from the engine bay to the IPMA module.

Has anyone done this on Lariat 500A?
If needed, has anyone run the required wires between the engine bay and the IPMA what was involved/required?

Thanks!
