Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power

So after a couple of months, are you confident that the Hybrid battery was the fix? Just had the Powertrain malfunction pop up on me today. 6 degrees F this morning. Drove it 6 miles to work and it sat all day. Fired it up at 5pm and no message. We'll see.

I am happy to report ZERO problems since the hybrid battery was replaced.

I have driven over 2200 miles. Several annoyances seem to have been resolves as well such as lane centering randomly saying unavailable.

My case may sounds like it wasn’t typical compared to others with the same/similar issues.
I have read anything from wiring harnesses to module replacements also having resolved their issue.
My dealer told me that Ford was able to verify the battery failure by monitoring the system through the technician‘s laptop while driving the truck. (I may not be 100% accurate here).

Good luck in finding a resolution!
PS.. I have had Several days of single digit temps this month.

Good to hear! Bummer you were without your truck for a month, but at least they figured it out!

Back from Ford today. They replace the shifter module (I think) and did a software update to fix the powertrain fault error that kept coming up. Apparently there is now a technical service bulletin for it now. So far, so good. We shall see.

Good news is even though they updated a bunch of modules, my ForScan changes seem to remain intact.

I am looking forward to not having to dismiss that message every time I start my truck!
