Current Status - Totally dead. No locks, no dash lights, can't open tailgate, sentry walk up not working, dead - nothing!
Was getting the random - check your charging system errors.
Never the stop now.

Yesterday morning walked up to it - unlock worked.
Then went to current status - totally dead.
Negative battery terminal was slightly loose. Tightened/No change.

New battery - No Change
Reading 12.8 Volts at the battery.
Reading 12.8 volts at the entry point on the fuse block
Fuse 1 - reading 3.2V
Fuse 3 - reading 3.2v
The 4 output lines on the block, all reading 3.2V

Fuse block just randomly die? Any other thoughts that could be causing the resistance from the input to the first fuse?

That is also reporting 3.2v at the battery as well. Could that battery be causing the low drop?

Not sure but could be. From what I've read that aux battery runs the modules before the truck is started.

Also, be sure and reset the BMS after changing the battery.

ok, so put the charger on the aux battery and it immediately starting making noises and lights flashing. Couldn't start it yet, but will let the charger run for a bit and see if that helps ,if not, will replace that battery and see what happens. Anyone know if that is easily replaceable at an O'Reilly or have to get from Ford? I'm an hour from closest dealer.

Sounds like the isolator is toast. There is a device sitting between the BCMC and the under-hood battery connected by an 8 gauge cable -- it's in the battery tray. It could have been the loose negative cable causing issues, but it sounds like that may be the culprit from the limited information you've provided.

Despite the positive battery terminal looking like it goes somewhere important, the entire truck's electrical system / charging is connected to the under-hood batt by that small little device.

Thanks, Is there any way to test that. is it inline on the main positive battery cable under the hood? Was working in the dark last night, so may have missed seeing that.

Well, got it started now that the charger has been running. Full of faults for every system popped up. pulled off the charger and it was up to 11 volts. Will keep it on the slow charger for next couple of hours. Any thoughts if all these alarms will clear on the next cycle or will I need to get it in to have someone clear all these faults?

Good luck. i’ve been dealing with a similar issue and my truck has been at the dealership more than with me since May.

Bit of an update here. Picked up a new under seat battery. Read 12v out of of the box. Put it in the truck and this is the progress of it when installed.

12.01 noon installed Friday
11.76 - 4pm - Friday
11.4 - 640pm
11.05 -11pm
10.57 - 10am - Saturday
3.2 volts - 630pm
2.58 volts - 9am - Sunday

Truck will be going into service tomorrow -will update thread once progress (hopefully) has been made so if others search can see the potential resolution here.

One question for the group here, when the battery is this dead - traditionally jumping doesn't do anything. Is it "ok" to jump this smaller battery to get the truck started?

I may have missed it. Did you replace both batteries at the same time?

I would not jumpstart that small battery. It is not for starting the engine. It is for maintaining voltage for electronics while you are in electric mode.

The battery in the engine compartment is what needs charged and/or jumped

Replaced main battery first before even knowing of the small 2nd battery. It is reading around 12.7v - 12.8v consistently.

That battery is fine and strong 12.8v. But it is like a dead brick without that small battery voltage higher. Nothing works, can't jump, can't do anything.
