My 2021 (Sept build) has also failed to install 4.3.2 for a little over 2 weeks now, it tries every morning and fails every time. Prior to this I did get a sucessful spate of updates. All preconditions have been met. Weird. VIN: 1FTFX1E8XMFC57924

PTS shows two different error codes during the multiple failures:

"errorCode":"CooldownFailed(8)" and "errorCode":"204" .

I have no idea what that means. The OTA trigger is now expired and you have to wait for it to be resent to your truck.

Same here.
Yours is showing the same errors as mine. DOoyou remember what was the OTA your truck was stuck on when you updated the truck yourself?

Hmmmmm . . . good question. I don't but I did get 2-3 updates successfully after I did the updates. Perhaps the 2.7.x ones?

Same as me. 2.7.3/2.7.4 were also IPC updates that would not go through via OTA. Based on my conversation with Jesse, it is possible our IPC's have communication issues at the ethernet port. If that is the case, the Mongoose will be the only way to get updated.

Makes me wonder and have been wondering for a while. Seeing lots of posts after getting my new to me truck where many are stuck on APIM 22177 and the important update needed is an IPC update that would never succeed. Only way out seems to be FDRS.

If it's an Ethernet issue perhaps a bad pin on a connector somewhere? Could be bad batch for some random trucks. It's happened before with supplier issues.

The update seems to fail for me every time it tries to download. I assume when downloading it would not be going directly to the IPC but storing it somewhere until it can install. Never gets to a point where install is ready.

It's possible. I thought the same thing. My truck was stuck on the 2.7.x OTA's way back when I first updated manually. Now another IPC OTA comes out and my truck can't get it to go through? Too much of a coincidence, IMO.

I wouldn't know where to begin with tearing open dash for curiosity purposes. I'll just wait for all the "preparing" to get to something useful and FDRS it again. I was getting all excited at maybe getting an OTA before all these failures. At least I know the truck is getting them now.

Exactly. Until whatever magical update comes out that all these 4.x.x updates are getting us ready for, I really don't care. I am more concerned about the people without the means to fix it themselves.

Just for fun turned off auto updates and sure enough leaving work it comes up ready to download again. I get to my driveway wait for truck to connect to WiFi and hit the accept to get the download.

First thing truck does to download update is disconnect WiFi. ?
I know I've read that it never uses WiFi to do updates but I got a pic of it now. :)

Curious about what you mentioned other day. If it's wiring we could potentially fix that but if it is something more would be hard to address.

I did see the WiFi turn off and come back on again probably 4 times before I got the error message on my phone. So I'm assuming every time it was trying to download it shut off the WiFi. Then just give me the generic fail message. ?‍♂
