While I'm bored fooling around anyone else have a PID that they can't find in OBDLink? ??

I'm not convinced that the MX from yesterdecade is the same as the current MX.
Regardless, with the current MX+, the "+" includes one "enhanced package" is included free. If you choose Ford/Lincoln/Mercury, you can use the app on as many Fords as you want. But if one of your vehicles is another make, you would have to pay for the second enhanced package.

OBDLink app with the enhanced pid library for Gen14 F150's is impressive. It's quite the library. And development of the app is pretty active. Lots of updates. (on Android at least)

I have been a Torque Pro customer for several years, but OBDLink offered a huge advantage with the Powerboost. It's stunning how many PIDs are available in the OBDLink Ford/Lincoln/Mercury library.
Well, that isn't what I'm seeing in the app.
Everything has a price next to it...

That's because you haven't "pre-paid" by purchasing the MX+

The + is actually a few bucks more expensive, and so you have unwittingly purchased the first enhancement

Features on the + are basically same as the original MX. Other than the extra PID and it might do a better job at "sleeping." My MX was plugged into my 2011 truck for about a decade it never caused issues. If I have to pay for GM and others with MX+ then not worth the money for the upgrade. I'll just spend $15 for the Ford PIDs.

The mx+ has oem addons are free for all supported vehicle makes and models. and you can get all of them if you have another make of vehicle for free too. I just tested it out I have a f150 my sister has a kia and the addons are free for her vehicle too.

I hope this question doesn't derail the original post, but I'd LOVE to be able to display the auxiliary PIDs (from OBDLINK or Torque Pro) on the Sync 4 screen instead of on a smartphone screen. I've seen one or two threads on this, but I too am a student in the back of the class, and I couldn't ascertain as to if that was even actually possible. Any insights?

There is another thread on that.

Someone has an experimental way using developer mode on Android Auto and some hacks to make the app appear to come from the play store.

The other option is being like @Snakebitten with multiple phones/tablets hung on dash.

For myself I rarely use such things but it is nice to have access to them as needed with phone.

I settled on an extra phone, Sim-less, and mounted strategically to require only the slightest glance to the right of where the driver is looking anyway.

Industry is 24/7/365 for 24 years straight.

Yeah, that's virtually the same arrangement that I'm currently using. It works, but I'm not overly enthusiastic about it. I have to enlargen the PID gauge in order to be able to read them - enlargen them to the point where I can't put very many on a page, so then I'm swiping through pages half the time. I reasoned (correctly or not), that synce the Sync 4 screen is notably larger than a smartphone, I could put more gauges on screen page. Don't get me wrong - using the smartphone works, and is better than nothing, I just don't consider it ideal.

There is another thread on that.

Yeah, I saw a thread on that (as I mentioned), and you described the mechanics of it well - or at least that is also my understanding of how it works. I'm still trying to figure this all out. However, I am under the impression that the aforementioned hack is primarily for Torque Pro - I haven't seen anything regarding MX+. In either case, after reading numerous posts and articles on the topic, I've had no success.

PID is short for Parameter Identifier

That's good to know, because in the world of controls programming, where I spend part of my professional career, PID stands for Proportional, Integral & Derivative feedback loop control.
