CCA test on battery showed 720 out of 800 amps, so they replaced the main 12V battery. Service Advisor claimed that the auxilliary battery was tested as well and passed, so only the main 12V battery was replaced. All under warranty as Inhave 6k miles/8 months left on factory warranty. Drive home...
Took it in to the local dealer today. Explained what was going on.
Tech said, "Let's pop your VIN into our system and see what's going on with the truck. Ah, I see State of Charge is 37%. Looks like you'll be getting a new battery. Also see a few other DTC codes that are related to low state...
I just got the SSN alert for the first time this AM. Truck is still on original aux AGM battery. Going to call dealer and get it checked out. Truck has been going into deep sleep and battery save mode despite 30 min highway drives. Going to see if I can get them to replace the aux AGM battery...
It looks like it's just the cap, and not the body of the mirror, which is easy and relatively inexpensive to replace. I had to replace mine and used Ford Points to buy a replacement.
Just to provide an update for everyone, I replaced the two stage LP regulator and tank connection hose. Slowly opened the tank. Then went inside and purged the air from the line via the stove until it lit.
:handsinair:
Then checked the furnace and got warm air to come out.
Will still put the...
We have a small electric space heater that we are going to be storing in the RV for future trips.
I think something isn't right with either the regulators or the connection to the tank. I'm going to replace them both on Saturday and see if that resolves the issue.
Took the family RV camping for a few days before Thanksgiving since the kids all have the week off from school. (I don't ever remember getting the whole week, but that's another story for another time)
Lake Morena is in Southern San Diego County mountains at about 3500' and a 45 min drive for...
I don't think it was someone trolling. It was an engineering company vehicle, not privately owned. No reason to be trolling. Must have been a 3rd party retro-fit.
Just like the title says, I saw an F-250 Super Duty hybrid while driving back to work from lunch today. At least thats what the badging on the back of the truck said. It was a company truck, so perhaps a fleet vehicle or 3rd-party conversion?
I know there are reports of Ford developing a SD...
The MPG is calculated by total mileage (Electric only + gas) So 131 mi/5.09 gal = 25.7 mpg.
The 3.5L engine does run at about 18-19 mpg so the 17 MPG for 85 miles where your gas engine was running sounds about right.
Do you use remote start on your truck and let it warm up before driving? How about the ProPower? Both of those would use gas without dropping your MPG.
Others have posted a way to adjust the MPG calculations to be closer to real world experience.
This looks like a great product, but I'm surprised someone hasn't created a device to tap into the onboard 365 camera system and use it for dashcam and live rearview recording.
Flattered that you thought that, but I'm an ME, actually. Maintenance and Facilities Engineering Manager for a heavy industrial manufacturer in San Diego. I have to know quite a bit about a lot of areas, including electrical.
I've been involved with overseeing soft starts and VFD installations...
Short answer: not likely.
Long answer: Hot water heaters are usually resistive loads and as such don't require a current surge at startup like an inductive load (e.g. motors) will have. The water heaer pulls the current it needs to heat your water. You could limit the current draw, but your...
