I'll take a stab, since my prior truck was a MT.
When locking out gears, you are keeping the transmission in automatic, but preventing the transmission from utilizing the upper gears that you have locked out. This is the same as turning off overdrive in prior gen cars. The transmission will...
Just about all of them apply to the EB engines. So far the recommendations are:
Stay out of turbo range
Lock out your upper gears, especially going up hills
minimize drag via traveling at a reasonable speed and drafting (not danger close)
Use gravity to your advantage
I'll be towing a ~4klb TT from San Diego to Tucson and back for the Thanksgiving holiday. There's about a 4,000 ft elevation gain East of SD before dropping down to below sea level, all in the first 2 hours of travel. I'll report back on what mileage I get. I'll use tow/haul mode and see how...
Are you using the Tow/Haul mode when towing? What speed are you pulling at? Are you staying out of turboboost range? Are you locking out the overdrive gears?
That's good to know, because in the world of controls programming, where I spend part of my professional career, PID stands for Proportional, Integral & Derivative feedback loop control.
This morning I did an impromptu test and remote started my PB before I left for work. It was cold enough outside for the ICE to run for the cabin heater. I let it run for about 5 min while I got my stuff together to leave. My trip to work today was 23 mpg and that was with hitting a couple of...
I did a mountain drive test a few weeks ago taking my son to and from a soccer game in a mountain community east of San Diego. The truck drove up the mountain with ease. 15 mpg on the way up the mountain and 30 mpg on the way back down. I actually had the ICE shutoff @ 70 mph at one spot going...
My afternoon commute usually has lower mileage for the exact same reason. :ROFLMAO:
While getting to work by 5am can be tough some mornings, the benefit is usually less idiots on the road.:sneaky:
My daily commute is about 7 miles, mostly street driving with some small hills and a bit of freeway mixed in. It takes me 15 min and I usually get 20 mpg on my way in to work in the morning.
Today I realized I forgot my laptop and had to drive back home to get it. This time, on the way back to...
Apparently they changed the material in the valves in Oct of 2021, so late 2022 and 2023 model years are not affected.

That's what I read too. Apparently the metal used in the valves became brittle when exposed to the heat from combustion in the cylinders and started cracking.
Did you try cleaning the camera lense? Rule out the simple solutions first.
Just use some water or a bit of dishsoap. Don't use window cleaner. Let us know if that helps.
Don't feel bad. I had to stare at that chart for a good 20 min before I figured it out.
The table on the left is for conventional trailers. The one on the right is for gooseneck and 5th wheels. The tow rating for the PB w/o Max Tow is 11,000 lbs. If you want to tow a 5th wheel with your PB...
