That mass damper is interesting. The seats in our Kia Telluride rattle as they shake side to side when the vehicle travels over bumps. I wonder if I added some mass to the top if it if would change the frequency of the shaking and solve the issue.

Well today I worked on it for 2 hours. Finally decided to unIp the cover. I could hit the side of the seat and replicate the sound. I won't bore with everything but I got to point where I notice if I fully unzipped the right side the noise stopped. Move the zipper down 5" and started to come back. I worked a small cloth into the upper right shoulder area which seems to have solved it for me. Spent the afternoon running errands all over the place and all is quite. Can't believe it and really hope this is "resolved" for me. Time will tell.

Now at 8,600 miles, I'm still loving my 2023 F-150 XLT 3.5L EB 302A 4x4 6.5'. A masterpiece of a truck.

One of the many great things about my rig is how quiet it is in the cab, until about 6 months ago when an intermittent rattle developed on the passenger-side dashboard. It was was driving me insane. But it was intermittent, and maybe only occurred 40% of the time. The dealer couldn't identify it, and I was feeling pretty bummed. I was actually hoping it would get worse so the dealer could find it.

I finally found it, and wanted to put it on the forum to help anybody else who might have this issue and search the forums in the future. Turns out it was the thin fascia covering on the A Pillar on the passenger side (picture attached). It was not properly adhered to the pillar and was ever so slightly flapping about. As a very temporary measure, I simply folded a card in half and wedged it to hold the fascia piece against the pillar (RATTLE GONE!), and from here I'll either ask the dealer to properly fix it when I'm in for my next oil change, or more likely, just cut a super thin and inconspicuous piece of black foam to permanently wedge it.

Hope this helps someone!

Don’t meant to resurrect this thread. But I had to create an account just to thank the OP for posting this.

Got my truck the weekend of July 4th.

Space White XLT 302A FX4 Coyote. First time FORD owner. Coming from a few Tundras and Tacomas, don’t like the direction they’re heading.

Anyway, thanks for posting this. I had the same rattle the second week of ownership and it’s been bothering the heck out of me. Love the truck, but the rattle made me wanna drive it into a wall………until I found this post. Thanks a lot for this, you probably won’t see this message, but either way, you saved my day!!!!

Yea. Definitely need something adhesive. I tried using some felt/spongy material with no adhesive and it fell through the gap. I wonder if it’s some lose or missing clips that’s supposed to be holding that trim piece in place.

I removed by A-pillars and wrapped the bottom section that contacts the dashboard with Tessa tape and I have no more rattles.

I used a combination of thin plastic pry tools I purchased from Amazon and started from the back so I wouldn’t see any marks in case I messed it up. It was not easy to get started.

Cool. I’ll check it out. Not very patient with this kind of stuff. Looks like it firmly snapped in place. Maybe ill just ask the dealer to do it when i come in for service.

This video explains it perfectly.
