Just received OTA update 23-PU1113-UNX-DC described as "Priority Update - Connectivity" with the (ironic) description "Refinements have been made to help improve connectivity"

Well, unfortunately it seems to have killed my Wireless Android Auto :( specifically, "Wireless App Projection" under Settings/Connectivity is greyed out and cannot be enabled - and that is what is required to connect Android Auto wirelessly instead of USB

Anyone else having this issue?

Before anyone tells me to try different phone etc. note that the option in Sync to wirelessly connect can no longer be enabled - doesn't matter what phone you use!

I had my recently purchased 2021 at the dealer for other work and problem with inability to connect Ford Pass app to truck. Dealer called me to say they fixed the Ford Pass connection problem (used FDRS to update modules) but after updates now had a problem with wireless apps not working. Vehicle stayed at dealer for another week for them to correct this problem. I can't give you more details because the service rep and the completed service ticket don't give me more details.

I just received an Android Auto update. Wonder if that is a fix.

No wireless android issues and I'm pretty sure I'm up to date OTA/FDRS

Fingers crossed.

Slight update, as well as the issue described above, my whole Sync system is now routinely (once, twice a day) freezing up i.e. won't accept any touch inputs, before eventually rebooting. Clearly the recent update messed up my Sync system :(

I am having both issues (sync resetting and wireless project greyed out). U make any progress with yours? Do u have the unreal engine turned on thru forscan?

+1 with issues. Finished updating my truck via FDRS last week and probably every other new engine start my AA won't connect wirelessly. I have to re-boot SYNC and when it comes back the phone connects to AA. Annoying and PITA.

Resolution was replacement of the APIM module ... not sure of cost as I have the Ford ESP Premium warranty and the unit was covered under that. Everything is fine following the APIM replacement.

Because of warranty I did not investigate further re: Unreal / Forscan, although I would think that if that was a resolution then Ford would have directed the dealer to do that vs. replace an expensive module?

Service advisor told me to leave "auto-update" off for now as I'm not the only vehicle they have seen where an OTA killed the APIM. Makes me wonder ... if I was out of warranty and a Ford initiated OTA killed my APIM, how am I responsible for replacement? If a Ford tech snuck onto my driveway in the middle of the night and damaged my vehicle wouldn't Ford be responsible? So how is an automatic update any different

@FordTruckMan helped me out (this forum is great!) Need to factory reset sync. Fixed my wireless project immediately. Don't know about eliminating need to reboot yet but sync loads a lot faster now.

See above - factory reset fixed my issues.

When my issue started the dealer was unaware of any other instances, but when the issue was resolved after ~ month, the dealer had very much become aware of other customers with the same issue. FWIW, the Dealer *did* try full factory reset before replacing the APIM. Didn't make any difference in my case ?‍♂ This was after some back/forth with Ford - so again, I'm guessing the replacement of APIM wasn't their preference, more of a last resort!
