Lifetime average through 107k miles is 17.7mpg (hand calculated, actual fuel fills, actual miles) including a little towing 7500lb trailer and a lot of freeway 80mph. But driving around town or on quiet non-highway roads is typically well above 20mpg, see picture ?
When my issue started the dealer was unaware of any other instances, but when the issue was resolved after ~ month, the dealer had very much become aware of other customers with the same issue. FWIW, the Dealer *did* try full factory reset before replacing the APIM. Didn't make any difference in...
Resolution was replacement of the APIM module ... not sure of cost as I have the Ford ESP Premium warranty and the unit was covered under that. Everything is fine following the APIM replacement.
Because of warranty I did not investigate further re: Unreal / Forscan, although I would think that...

Check under Settings / Connections / Wireless App Projection - can you enable this? If not, that is the reason that your phone won't connect wirelessly. Happened to me with recent...
Slight update, as well as the issue described above, my whole Sync system is now routinely (once, twice a day) freezing up i.e. won't accept any touch inputs, before eventually rebooting. Clearly the recent update messed up my Sync system :(
Exact same thing happened to me - see recent thread https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/ota-update-killed-wireless-app-projection.22452/post-430883
In my case, seemed to be caused by OTA update 23-PU1113-UNX-DC
Did you manage to get this resolved?
Just received OTA update 23-PU1113-UNX-DC described as "Priority Update - Connectivity" with the (ironic) description "Refinements have been made to help improve connectivity"
Well, unfortunately it seems to have killed my Wireless Android Auto :( specifically, "Wireless App Projection" under...
Search Amazon for "3m auto paint protection film" and you'll find lots of options. The wider rolls of door edge protection might be perfect *and* allow you to protect your door edges :)
My own perspective having taken a 2016 3.5 Ecoboost from 0 to 175k miles - this truck cost me ~ $5k in maintenance up to 100k miles and then over $10k between 100k and 150k - big bills to replace exhaust manifold, turbocharger, timing chain leak (and guides, cam phaser etc.). So, the argument...
2021 Job 1 Early Access BlueCruise and I'm seeing the same behavior - I tend to place a hand back on the wheel in anything more than a very gentle curve in order to initiate the turn-in and turn-out and avoid the delayed lurch into the corner followed by over-correction. I also noticed the...
Almost 30k miles so far ... I have the rusty undercarriage, had a parking sensor fail, had the trailer brake issue, but other than that no real problems. Mostly happy camper and would buy again. Except for Blue Cruise. Anytime Ford wants to get to sending that update would be fine
I'm OCD enough to track every tankful on my '21 Powerboost by hand. Driving consists mostly of criss-crossing Michigan on the highway @ 80mph which obviously impacts MPG. Also tow an enclosed car trailer (the sharp drops in the graph). Overall average, excluding the towing miles ~ 18mpg. Less...
This is an old problem that Ford do not seem at all bothered by - was very much present in the previous generation F150, I've experienced it many times in both my 2016 F150 and current 2021 model. Seems to occur with odd-shaped trucks, like car transporters, so I've learned to be careful ...
And there is this chart, for just 2020, covering 37k miles, but i didn't tow the trailer (COVID ? ) which makes the seasonality more obvious ... and maybe more like 1.5 (ish) MPG
So, I'm obsessive enough to track every tanks' MPG by hand and record - using an phone app called Fuelio ... results below are for my old 2016 3.5 Ecoboost tracked over 5 years and 175k miles, there is a pretty obvious seasonality to the MPG for sure here in Michigan. Results in May/June/July...
Except ... could be the recent cold weather and high winds (Michigan) but my MPG seems to have dived by in the 1k-2k miles since TSB by approx 1.5mpg. Anyone else seeing this?
I think the TSB is 21-2407 - see original thread
Getting on for 2k miles since the reprogram was done and it seems to be holding fine - the transmission has lost the surging/jerkiness of the 1-3 upshift.
See this thread: https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/powerboost-tsb-harsh-1-3-upshift.7204/post-134057
I had the dealer perform this TSB on my transmission - vast improvement!
I had the dealer perform the TSB on my (Powerboost) transmission - it's been 1k miles and the difference is night and day, no more "surging" from 1-3 and all shifts now seem smoother. Recommend anyone affected get this done ASAP :)
