My 2024 powerboost Lariat is in. From reading the forums and YouTube videos seems like a good truck. Trading a 23 Tacoma. Day and night comparison.

I did the exact same thing. Had a 23 Tacoma for 6 months, and hated every minute of it. No comparison at all, but I suppose their shouldn't be for the price discrepancy.

Your thread title says on the fence. What's the ambiguity? Doesn't seem like you're on the fence, but rather that you're glad to have made the trade.

Your right, the Lariat has great seats, we tow a 4500lb rv.
Wife a little nervous with tacoma.
So have to get 1/2 ton.
Going to check with Grainger for a warranty

I did the same as well, traded a 23 Tacoma I had for 16 months. Super happy with that decision!

How does your state handle taxes? Mine is captured by the dealer lobby and if you trade in you get the trade's value off of your tax burden. Using your numbers here at least, 2750 of your $4k delta would go right to the state. In that case I'd try and negotiate it to 36500 on trade and actually make $250. Might want to check into that.

The transaction must go through on the same sales sheet -- doesn't matter if it's same day elsewhere, if it's not done as one transaction it's a loss of the sales tax.

Nervous? I don't blame her! That's a lot of trailer for a Taco, talk about the tail wagging the dog! You're gonna love the Powerboost. Did you get the 7200 watt ProPower onboard?
