The red square is the portion that makes up the missing "diaper" on some trucks. The red arrow is the oil drain access door removed for the picture.
Reports are that all of the plates are very stout and well made.

Heres a link to Talons. I have one and now I just have to put it on. At the first oil change I will install my Talons cat plate and Valvomax oil change system.

Talons got their quick fame for addressing the Powerboost, when everyone else were/are stating "not compatible with Powerboost"

Just to throw it out there... If you are trying to get the dealer to replace it, have them use the raptor skid instead of the fiber board that will come loose and drag anyway. Its steel, and price probably isn't much different if you skip the oil drain cover:

Snake has 2 of them in the barn.
If I thought it offered enough protection to warrant the trouble of taking it off/on 4 or 5 times a year, they wouldn't be on the shelf.

I DON'T like not having real protection for the plastic transmission pan though. I need to pony up for that sweet plate that has the oil change access door in it.
