NOISY TAILGATE MOTOR

Did any one had to replace the tailgate motor, mine is being noisy and need to be helped to shut close, anybody now if it is an electrical problem or the motor itself is alredy worn or lack internal lubrtication

only have 98k km but the tail gate is heavy with the foldable step, I used some spray lubricant on the hinge and inside the tailgate itself had the impression it helped
for a will but we are going into winter in a few month have the feeling it is build by the same company that make their low life Battery, have to replace each two year

no when retracting like closing the tailgate your ear the gr=ear sound like the motor dont have enough power to close, and when he felt to much resistance your can ear 3 beep and the tailgate go down by itself like when they retract due to an obstacle, if you help it a little bit he go up and close normaly, i have asked my dealer about it he wasnt sure if it is the motor or a bad connection creating to much resistance ( hot connection)

You are right about me I am a French speaking canadian,
I work in english daily and i dont take time to correct typo when im in a rush of getting my idea out,
im just looking to see if other F150 owner are having the same kind of issue with their Tailgate motors, or wiring going into the control module,

I would assume it is a bad motor before a wiring issue.

This is what i suspected, but dealer isnt sure as if the problem persist after they replace it they have to eat the bill, but im gone ask them to replace it as the cold weather is coming and this is anoying,

It is an expensive part. Shows $735 on Ford parts.

If it stop working, I will be in trouble, might not open or close, and I Have to get in remote area
for my work, 795 usd will be around 1130CND $ i got a 10% discount but add labor 1.5 hrs @ 150.00/hrs that get high but it is what it is, it is surprising that it failed so fast I dont open my tailgate each days, it is premature failures for me, but I like my truck anyway

The dealership should be able to test everything to verify the problem before replacing anything.
