Noisy Ford Mud Guards

Yep... ordered them from a Ford dealer.

Speaking from memory...I noticed when I installed mine, that the instructions were not very clear as to capturing both the wheel well liner and the metal lip when attaching the clips. Might you have onlu captured the liner? This is my 4th set of Ford mud flaps over the last 8 years and I've never had any noise issues.

That is a possibility I suppose... and I will check it. I checked them again today, but I did not check that part of it.

Installed the Ford mud guards, which look really nice, but when we got on the interstate running 70mph... those were the noisiest guards we've ever heard. The front kept making a popping noise every few minutes. If we slowed down to 55-60... no issue, but I guess that much pressure against them was causing them buckle and make a popping noise at the higher speeds. I suppose we'll get the Gatorbacks like we had on our Ram... flexible and much heavier/thicker/robust, although a LOT more expensive as well.

I have the Ford guards. Dont hear anything at 70mph.

Wel... you can add me to the deaf club.lol!! I have had mine Ford midguards for two years and no noise at all. It sounds like you might not have installed them properly? Very odd, I hope you can sort it out.

mine are ford parts flaps mud guard things
i have never noticed noise from them , but then again at 75 and up the windows are up, ac is on.

my truck is extremely quiet , i get air noise from the window visors but it is very minimal

Just drove the potential replacement vehicle home from the dealer. On a good stretch of Interstate, no noise. Very strange.
