Still in the break-in period of my new F-150 and just driving in normal mode so far. It's also my first vehicle that has driving modes which I didn't realize was so freaking cool until I had it lol. So, anyways I get the obvious like Sport mode is going to drive sportier, eco mode is gonna save gas, tow/haul is going to shift differently etc but is there much difference between mud/ruts and deep snow/sand? I am assuming both will utilize 4WD and will wait a little bit longer to shift gears but is there much difference between the two?

It's just a combination of 4WD modes, throttle mapping, trans shift points, diff lockup. W/ some forscan edits it will open up more camera views as well.

As for eco saving fuel, well there's no magic about it. It simply adjusts the throttle pedal curve. A light foot does the same thing. Granted in PBs, the electric motor is always aggressive -- on gravel it's really hard to get it to not spin.

I used slippery last winter and previous winter when we had the "blizzard "
You know little ice on bridges. It seemed to hold back power when you accelerate
Like it was dragging a big chunk of concrete
It still allowed me to slowly slide just before a touched dry ground at end of bridge
So I say it helped ?

I didn't see any difference between eco mode and normal. So, I leave mine stay in the Normal mode.

You must have the lightest accelerator foot on planet earth. Eco vs normal is night and day acceleration difference

I have noticed in eco
The truck will hold upper gears longer and build boost, vice downshifting 2 gears on over passes.
And on long long highway runs of 75 mph or better it squeaks out a tad higher mpg
I like to holding of gears and using tq and boost to maintain speed vice downshift, upshift, which why eco probably squeaks out better mpg..because of less of loss of tranmission events and rpm variations...maybe
I also have run in 4A with eco mode and 2h , can't see a mpg difference with it in 2h or 4A .
