Really? What would be the company’s purpose in making such a public —or, at a minimum, F-150 owners’ forum —“announcement”?

Do you even understand what DEI means or do you just know buzzwords that you hear? A DEI hire could be a guy being hired because a team is mostly women or vice versa. That would be the Diversity part. The person being hired could be good or bad. DEI has nothing to do with a person's qualifications. It is ignorant to assume that everyone who would be hired due to DEI would be unqualified.

DEI is a program that makes hiring/promotion selections based on race or gender. Any program that doesn’t hire/promote based on best qualified (regardless of race/gender) is discriminatory, unethical and illegal.
