I assume this is related to the pro-terrorism comments on X from the hacked account?

I just wonder how many members they really did help? I had the feeling they were smoke and mirrors.
I helped with one of the more significant issues of my trucks million issues and got me in contact with some local relationship manager person. Followed up a few times as well. I thought it was a nice extra service.

I'm getting old and I don't like it.

Dad always said "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth"

Now when you all come to vent, it will literally be no different than venting into the abyss.

I'm not sure how big the impact the rep here had when I had a fuel line issue, but I'm pretty sure I could have asked the service manager at my local dealership to jump and he would have asked how high.

Recognizing us as a small passionate community of valuable customers was a million times better than recognizing issues arose by "social media influencers" on those bigger social platforms. You shouldn't need a cult following to be recognized a valuable customer.

I am also one of the ones where a case # was opened and received some help. Also, they forwarded the issues up to engineering in Michigan and made several personal calls to follow up on how the truck was doing. My first experience with a new Ford and F150. Nice customer service.

They picked up on two gripes I had. In one case they helped a very little. In the second case (and after they said the issue was serious), once I provided vehicle info, they disappeared and never again responded. So t the end of the day, they were worthless.

As hard as it might be to believe, I don't have an account for Facebook, X, Instagram, TicTok............

Now does my post count make a little more sense? ???

It's forums or bust, for this dinosaur.
Neither do I or my company.

Yes, your post count here makes a lot of sense - constructive, informative, and useful. That's not the norm on social media.

If they really gave a rip about their image or customers they would have a permanant fix for all the axle bolt breakage and have them all fixed by now! They really don't care!

So a multi billion dollar company doesn’t have the budget to hire a couple of people to monitor a couple of active forums about their products. (I’m thinking Mustang and Bronco forums are also active.)

Truth is they just don’t care about any of their customers. A dealer might, a tech might and even a salesperson. But the corporate message here is “screw you.”

Do you think that a person hired as a result of DEI would automatically be bad?
Been on this site ever since I bought my '22 XLT. Been lurking ever since gleaning as much knowledge as possible with very limited comment/interaction. But, just could not help me myself when I saw this comment... "WELL DUH!?!?"

Do you even understand what DEI means or do you just know buzzwords that you hear? A DEI hire could be a guy being hired because a team is mostly women or vice versa. That would be the Diversity part. The person being hired could be good or bad. DEI has nothing to do with a person's qualifications. It is ignorant to assume that everyone who would be hired due to DEI would be unqualified.

It looks to me like after having their X account compromised Ford panicked and suspended their social media presence everywhere. My prediction is that they after they calm down a bit they return to this forum (with multi-factor authentication enabled).

It looks like they have helped more people than I thought. One can hope that when they return they take into account some of the feedback here and make some changes. I do hope they return.

To the mods of this forum: It would be nice if multi-factor authentication via hardware security keys (e.g. Yubikey) was available and not just via authenticator apps.

Social media jobs are hard. Have to try and drive engagement through posts and member interactions.
Ford's Social Media SOP:

1. If customer is happy, reply with "Cool truck, buddy!".

2. If customer has a problem, collect as much personal info as possible about them while pretending to help. Then, after data is collected, reply with "Sorry, we are unable to help. Please contact your nearest dealer." File info collected in warranty denial database.
