Noticing the new 2024’s have B&O Unleashed as part of the 502a Lariat but it’s an 14 speaker system now with no headrest speakers?

My 2021 502a is a on 18 speaker system with headrest speakers. What gives?

I have never heard my 2021 Lariat B&O headrest speakers work. I don't think that is missing much.

Mine work great and it’s a fantastic sound system over the base B&O. You need to press your left or right ears into the edge of the headrests to hear the sound. If yours don’t work it’s a fix under warranty…

Just traded in a Lariat with a 18 speaker b&o for a XLT with no b&o.....there's a difference!? ? Just make them more dependable and leave the factory with parts aligned and water tight. Then they can focus on the sound system.

I don’t know how you guys don’t hear a difference. I just dropped $100k on a 2024 Yukon XL SLT for my Wife and the Bose Speakers pale in comparison to my F150’s B&O Unleashed.
I had a 21 Raptor that had the headrest speakers. My 24 doesnt have them and i cannot tell a difference. Hate losing them regardless but i never heard anything out of them unless i had my ear flat on the headrest. I'm not really sure what you could listen to that would actually effect the sound with the output so low.

Yeah I don’t think the idea is for them to be blasting in your ears given how close they are but they do help create more of a full surround sound experience, including some of the instrumental subtleties within songs. Just my Experience anyway.

I started noticing the headrest speakers more after I unplugged the center dash speaker.
but they are still very subtle. and the Unleashed system still sucks for all its hype.

Ram is starting to dominate again with their refreshed interior…
Yeah, but the lack of proven motors is going to leave them undesirable for a minute. It's not a matter of if their new TT i6 motor will fail, but how bad will it be and how long to fix them.
Don't be a guinea pig for a new HO turbo'd gas motor from a company with no real history of building them. Interior only gets ya so far if the powertrain is poo.

Thats very true.
I guess you could look on the bright side of things I guess you'll have a nice interior to sit in and show off while ram is figuring out how to fix the engine. Lol.
I had a 17 ram with the 5.7 hemi. Went out to leave one day turned the key and blew my motor ... yes I said blew my motor... thank God I had extended warranty and got a new motor for $100. I had nothing but trouble from the truck ever since so I sold it back to the dealership a few months later. And that's the hemi they been having forever I'd never trust a new type of motor from them until it's been out quite a few years.

Mine fill in the sound nicely but it is mostly guitar that plays on the headrest speakers. The right songs really shows off the extra speakers.

I feel like the 24 system is equal or better than the 18 speaker systems….

They were right too. First few EB motors were plagued with issues which is the point. Toyota was the 'next' one to really jump onto the trend and now full recall on them. It were those early mistakes that have matured the EB platform into what it is today. I'd bet we'll see a TSB on their HO variants within the first year of release that'll end up a full recall after a few of them grenade. Unforeseen issues always pop up when transitioning from hand-built prototypes into mass production. Ram's motors will be running up to 2 bar which as far as I'm aware, isn't done in any gasoline factory motor that's mass produced.
