Hello Everyone!!! Does anyone know if I can shut off the headrest speakers in my 2021 Platinum without tearing into the seat?

Can it be done in FORscan? I have enough snap/crackle/pop to make me think I have Rice Crispies in the car.

Thanks

I must be the only person who has bad headrest speakers. Go figure. :)

LoL, none of us can hear them...!
For what it's worth, it is VERY easy to unzip the back of the seat.
Once you do there are wires at the very top of the seat and you can unclip them very easily.
If this is the crackling, snapping and popping that some of us have heard then you would hear it through all of your non amped speakers, not just the headrests.
But if it JUST the headrests, you may have a frayed wire or something?

Just started having the same problem that led me here! It's very annoying. My door speakers also crackles/pops but not as much as the headrest. I can bounce around and push back into the seat and make it crackle/pop. Was trying to remove the headrest but it didn't want to come off. Will try to unzip and look for wires next.

Just tried on mine, it's a 2021 maybe different but they are clipped and zippered, then you can just pull the headrest cover up to access the speakers. There are two speakers in the headrest and both wires are soldered on so not sure how to remove/disconnect them without clipping the wires.

Might have found root cause to my issue. I took the clips from behind the seat cover to gain access to the inside of the back. Shined a flash light up there and traced the speaker cables from both sides. Saw that a metal spring/support was digging into the cable bundle. I had suspicion that something like that was happening since I could reproduce the popping noise on demand when pushing back against the back of the seat when sitting. After removing both metal spring/support from digging into the cable bundle the popping when away from how I was making it pop. Attached are some pictures and hopefully that fixes it for me.

Hey, thanks for sharing!!!! For me, when they start to go snap, crackle, and pop, I turn on my driver's massaging seats, and the snap/crackle/pop goes away on the passenger side headrest speakers.

I got to hand it to FORD for a Quality if Job 1. LOL
