I tried it and am also disappointed with it. If I am forced to move to Fordpass 5, the app will be coming off my phone and I'll live without it.

I could be wrong, but my guess is that the inspiration for the change wasn't to make the app better but to make the app cheaper to maintain. With as much as Ford is losing with their electric vehicle business, I guess I can understand the motivation to reduce cost everywhere; but disappointing their customer base is going to cost them a lot of money in the long run, too.

Just did, and man are there a lot of terrible reviews about v5. Some EV folks like it, some think it looks better, most want a rollback.

Here's the screen I'm looking at, for the life of me I do not see where to add a new service record.

@Big Dog Daddy Did you figure out how to add a maintenance entry. I do most of my own basic maintenance and was glad to hear they had this feature in the App. I didn't want Ford backtracking by saying maintenance wasn't done, if something pops up. I'm picking up my vehicle in a couple weeks.

Spent 18min describing the 5 features the app has and how great it is. No, I didn't waste 18min of my life watching this blathering paid spokesman, I skipped forward a bunch. Oh, it's so amazing, I don't have to press and hold to lock/unlock...

At least yours says "your records". Mine says "prior owners records"
Ford support can fix that.
They did for me last year with the online chat feature on Ford.com

Ford.com still has that functionality, but without receipt attachment option. It should still be in the app like it used to be though...

I skipped around too.

Long McArthur Ford seems to be one of the better ones, but he does run long on his videos. His Tuesday evening Youtube podcast gives alot of update info, plus you can ask questions and he doesn't give a company line.

Hi F-150 owners! If you recently updated your FordPass® app, you may have noticed it looks a little different. We are pleased to share that we have rolled out a newly designed app.

It is easy to use and efficient, reducing the number of steps it takes to access functions to help you better manage your vehicle remotely. Also, instead of having to hold down a button to turn the vehicle ‘on’, this is now a simplified slider.

Additionally, if you have an Apple Watch, along with lock/unlock and remote start/stop, you will also be able to use the following features from your wrist:
  • Activate horn and lights remotely
  • View vehicle location
  • View fuel level and range, for gasoline-powered vehicles
  • View fuel level, battery and range, as well as total combined, for hybrid vehicles
We are also continuing to improve in-app experience with this latest version. If you notice a feature you previously used before is no longer there, don’t worry, the feature can still be accessed via your in-vehicle touchscreen.

We love to hear from our owners so let us know what you think and if you have any questions about FordPass!
