New 4.2.2.2 update this morning

I just got 4.2.1 a little while ago. Not excited about 4.2.2 coming in. Of course, when my truck finally starts to receive updates as intended, it's an update that many people report having issues with.

Believe it or not, the thought has crossed my mind several times. lol

What were the odds? My first OTA is bust!

I've found that if I leave the streaming app as the focused app on the Android, the streaming doesn't stop or get interrupted. So until I get 4.2.X-fix, I have a work around. ?

Sometimes it's good to be a dinosaur. I don't stream music, so I should avoid that particular problem.

Believe it or not, 3.5.3.2 was sent to your truck an hour ago and is sitting in your queue right now waiting to download the files it needs. There's nothing wrong with your truck as far as OTA's go.

Edit: If you can get him to update you anyway, do it because this update has a very high fail rate.

Sometimes it's good to be a dinosaur. I don't stream music, so I should avoid that particular problem.

I often don't either. But I had several fellas ask me to see if 4.2.2 caused me issues. I don't experience the described song skipping that affects Android Auto, but I did have a few sudden halts to streaming via Bluetooth. After restarting the stream and leaving the app focused on the phone, it solved the problem.

That's not something most would be willing to do, but I don't need to use the phone for other things during a commute.

Still, I'm looking forward to an update for the update.

I just went out to my truck and there was no update. Sill sitting at 3.5.2. Connectivity Icon doesn't work and the Software Update is greyed out so it is unusable.

Your truck is not going to recognize there is an update pending. Not yet. First, it has to download the files and your GWM has to sign off on them to approve the update. If the process goes well, it will install regardless of whether you have auto updates on or off.

I just got 4.2.3 last night. I am early 21 build (MArch 2021) I was stuck for a while and did the FDRS updates at the time to 3.5.3. few months later I got 3.5.4 automatically. and now jumped to this last night.
Gonna hit the gym soon. See how this update pans out.. hopefully no quircks.

I had this message in Ford pass.. When I click on the blue update details, it takes me to chrome on my phone but doesn't open anything..

On my truck, I get this screen...

23031 product revision 713.. Does this apply only to Sync and not any other modules?

Is there a place on the truck screen where I can see what version of software I have?

I think I have 4.2.3..only because I received 4.2.2 and another update since then which doesn't say anything when I click on the blue update details button..

I would appreciate any light you all can shed on this

Yes, it was 4.2.3 which is a GWM update. The links on the Fordpass app to the update details have been broken for many including myself.

Normally after an update, checking your truck's screen will tell you the last update you got for 60-90 days. Eventually, it will just say your truck is up to date when you check that. With this current string of 4.2.x updates, many people have experienced what you are saying where it does not tell you which update it is for some reason.

Without appearing as though I am rubbing it in, my update details button is working in the fordpass app...
