To expand on this:Builtright makes a latch for the back seat so you can easily move it forward and not have to fiddle with the Ford OEM method. You may not use it much but it makes it significantly easier if you do use it.
The backseat on the F150 is split 60/40 with the single seat on the right. From the factory, you can fold down the single seat to access the jack and fuel funnel. I put booster cables and my recovery kit in behind there.
But, the centre/left seats don't fold down. There's a latch that is used to install the seat at the factory (worker pushes the seat in, it clicks into place, it stays in place forever). There's no mechanism, which is where Builtright comes in. They make the mechanism that bolts on and turns that one time use latch into a regular latch. So now you have a large space behind your centre/left seat to store items. I store two 12' tool bags with my cargo securement (ratchet straps, bungie cords, cargo net) and my emergency kit (air pump, boost pack, gloves, reflective vest, LED flares). In the winter I'll throw my collapsable shovel behind the seat as well.
I bought the folding storage under my rear seats to store these items. Turns out I really didn't need it with the space behind the seat.
