In the market for Ford F150 XLT supercrew 3.5l powerboost hybrid in a 4x4 config. Found a dealer in central NJ not budging beyond $62k out the door pricing for a 2024. Are there better dealers or lower priced options nearby? The following is the breakdown.

Msrp is $67k. The sticker price has a number of rebates that add up to $7500 but he gave me only a $3500 rebate. Is this a fair price?

Selling price - $60355
Royal guard - $299
Dealer doc - $699
Tax - $4064
Waste tire management fee - $7.50

Total price - $66305.24
Rebate - $3500

Balance - $62000

I could care less about all options he has added. I was hoping somewhere around $55k would have been fair. Thoughts?

Options included are

Equipment group 302a - $4770
Full hybrid - $3560
XLT black appearance package - $1495
Mobile office package - $555
Tow/haul package - $785

I'm also in NJ. After the laughable prices I was quoted from dealers in state and in NY state, I ordered a truck from Granger and got exactly what I wanted at a great price. For the money you save you can get an extended warranty, a plane ticket to pick up the truck and 1 fill up on the way back.

Can you please walk me through the process? How much did you save and once you factor in the plane ticket and fuel and NJ tax don't you land up with maybe a $5k difference. Illustrative speaking the model in question is being offered by my NJ dealer for $62k. A similar but not the same at Granger is $53738. If I add fees of $300 and tax it comes to $57618. Now that's only a $4500 difference and does not factor flight ticket and gas and hassle.

There are other dealers on east coast that sell under invoice. At least they used to do so. It was covered in a thread over on f150forum.

Get a quote from Granger then use that to shop local if you want. I have multiple dealers in my state that will sell at invoice on orders but I don't know of any that will go below invoice in the current economy.

What does under invoice mean? In this case MSRP without including rebates is $67k. my dealer base price is $60k to which he adds the fees and taxes and then reduces $3.5k manufacturer rebates. So is the $60k below invoice? How much hassle was it to get it registered?

Now I don't remember the exact savings but it was sizeable. Between 8-10k if I remember correctly. Where I think you'll see extra savings is if you order a truck the way you want it without options you don't want. Everyone has a different take on hassle and what it's worth. I drove my trade out there and my new truck back so I can't quote you on the ticket prices. If it's too much for you to make it to Iowa and back I believe others here have good things to say about Chapman Ford which is either in NJ or close in PA. I'm sure someone else will chime in as well...

I believe I ordered mid June and truck was delivered to the dealer at the end of August.
I don't mind waiting and frankly the options added are not what I would have wanted. If I custom order I could likely save some money by only getting options I want. Is granger accommodative?

Extremely. Do yourself a favor and go through the build and price on Ford's website. Then call and speak to Chip at Granger and he'll give you his email where you'll send him a copy of your build and he'll get back to you with their out the door price. Wonderful place with which to do business.

@Granger Ford has a whole thread running on here with details and are very helpful. They sell hundreds (thousands?) of vehicles to people out of state.

Will do. Any specific must have options? Did they hassle you during registration in NJ?

You could check with All American Ford, they have 4 locations Paramus, Hackensack, Old Bridge and Point Pleasent. Plus 2 commercial truck centers. and a truck only service center in Hackensack. The best price I've always pushed for is all in deal at sticker. That's about the best you'll get in NJ. So when I say all in, that's sales tax, registration, and any other fee's at sticker. This was how I got my 2021 fo and intended to buy outright in cash. But at signing they offered a $3000.00 discount if I took a loan with Ford Credit so I took it. The trucks sticker was 64k and I drove it off the lot for 61k all in. A month later I paid off the loan.

The quote is from All American Ford. I have attached the sticker here and the price they have given me is $62k. Is this a fair deal?
