only thing i noticed after last weeks update was 2 phone capability, splash screen with 75 years and the compass rose thing, i am sure there are other things. HAL might be waiting in the wings to fail an antenna
i had forscaned the 75th thing, but it never worked until last week

Why would you not?

there was an instance in the past where an OTA or similar caused an issue on somebody’s truck. i don’t want to be a victim.

There's also thousands of instances where we do updates and nobody has an issue.

I've got the 75th logo on my Ford pass, but not in the truck. I guess I've not received it yet, but when I do barring anything seeming weird I'll accept it. From my driveway!!

I would go ahead and update. It seems like that's a smaller update so it shouldn't mess anything up for you, i think it's a safe bet.
