It's really insurance against a bad truck and/or dealership. Many folks are lucky with both and think it's a waste of money. BUT if you are NOT lucky it can and will save you from a finical disaster. Repairs and parts 5 6 7 years from now will might be incredibly high. If you really really plan to keep your truck for many years I consider it especially important. Unless you are wealthy of course.
