I'm sure I will be one of those guys that could be considered nuts. I bought the Michelin LTX MS 2's 3 weeks ago at DT based on everything I have read. They are great tires, comfortable and quiet just like everyone says, however, I think they look like bus or 18 wheeler tires and hate them based on looks. Yes, I saw pics but now that I have them I want to change them but am stuck unless I can sell them at a loss. I want a more exciting looking tire but also know I'll be sacrificing noise and ride with an all terrain that looks good.

Too bad I can't test drive first and send back if I don't like them.
Anyone else ever feel like this after a tire purchase?

So I guess you never even looked at their return policy?

I have almost the same opinion about my Conti Terraincontact H/Ts. They are about the same performance and look as the Michelin LTX MS2s from what I could find.
I love how they handle on the road, even in snowy weather where I'm at.
...but yeah they just don't look at cool on my truck as any A/T tire. I think it's the fact they don't have the extra material on the outer sidewall that makes the tires look more aggressive.

I do agree they are not agressive looking, but its one of the few options in a 275/65/20...34" tire that is not E rated. Im on my 3rd set of rubber and the MS2s are my favorite so far. I had the Pirellis before and they were better than OEM, but I got terrible gas mileage. Switched to the MS2 and saw a sizable increase in MPGs, plus they are super quiet and comforable.

For me I value the performance over the looks.

I didn’t run any test like someone on here did with the pirellis but I was regularly getting about 22mpg on my trips between dallas/Austin and now consistently see 24-25.

I have to agree a bit on the looks. However, these tires probably saved my wife’s and my life on a recent road trip to the Midwest vs a semi tractor trailer. These tires provide superior ride and handling.

I feel the same way, and they keep coming up on my number one ratings for everything I need, but you're correct, the look is very mundane, my brother has them on his 20 expedition. It's just hard to purchase other tires knowing they are going to be only adequate in the same areas that the MS 2 is great at. Why can't they make an aggressive looking side pattern on these.
