That just sucks. There was a time that Ford and other manufacturers would send out a technical rep to solve problems the dealer could not. Maybe they are so overwhelmed with shitty builds these days that there aren’t enough specialists to go around.

There is one spot I have to use 4wd and it involves a tight turn. Not too get into a lengthy explanation, but is is at the bottom of a hill with roots and pine straw. To turn around and get back up from the water is a PITA without 4wd. That is the only place I’ve heard the loud snap noise.

Just curious, did you ever get your money’s worth out of the extended warranties? I.E., repairs that would have exceeded the cost of the warranty plus finance cost?
