Don't really car what a tire looks like for the most part.
Do care that it rides nice and is QUIET.
I live in South Texas, so traction is not really a concern and for the most part, the only reason I have a 4x4 is to not get stuck in my very sandy backyard.
I do care what the tires look like on my classics, and those are getting difficult as I believe whitwalls belong on virtually everything up to the late 80s. (Yes, WW on the oldies with mag wheels). Ride and quiet is important on those as well. Getting more difficult to meet these requirements anymore. Can't even get WW for my Ranchero anymore

My last Michelin set was the LTX AT2
A wonderful choice, at least for my needs

The MS2 is going to get a hard look when the time comes

Good show! I’ve always liked the KR wheels over the ‘Dark’ Sport style. But, I’ll see your Defenders and raise you a set of Terrain Contacts!

(Pardon the dirt)
Defenders make the sport rims look good…or is it the Rapid Red stealing the show again 🤔

Does anyone have a picture of the Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 in the slightly larger 275/65/20 size on their truck?

Very nice! If you wouldn't mind, could you get a straight on side picture? I'll take all the pics I can get because I'm debating these, or the Terraincontact A/Ts in the stock size.

Had those on my 2002 Ford Ranger. They did great in rain and snow and were a lot quieter than the BFG All Terrain T/A's I had before the LTX's.

I've been waffling on my next tire choice too. Unfortunately, how a tire looks does play in to my decision a little bit.

The Bridgestone Dueler Ascent is a mild AT that I'm considering along with the Michelin. When I was shopping earlier this year, the only place I could find the Dueler in stock was from a Firestone dealer. There was no way I was going to take a chance on a new tire and have only Firestone or Bridgestone choices if I wanted to use their 30 day return policy.

I won't even consider a tire unless it has solid reviews or some sort of testing from Tire Rack or Tyre Reviews.

I've been very happy with my current tires, but after seeing Tire Rack's most recent AT shootout, the Michelin and Bridgestone are the top of the heap for my use.

So I guess you never even looked at their return policy?

They did in fact honor their return policy. Returned the Defenders for a set of 285/75/18 Toyo Open Country AT3's Like them so much better and I can't tell any noise or ride difference between them yet......

Discount Tire is a great company in my experience...have bought my last 5 sets of tires from the...always excellent service. I have seen them repair /patch flats for folks for no charge that weren't even customers.
