Greetings all,

I have a 2025 PB. Occasionally when I start the vehicle, it gives a low-resolution chime on start-up (chime rings 3 times). Something is clearly different than a 'normal' startup.

My gut says battery related. But I am driving 45 minutes each way for my commute every morning and afternoon.

Any other things it might be? Anything else I should be on the lookout for if it is a battery issue?

No chime because of no voltage = battery issue.

Mine bongs at me when I hit the start button to turn the truck on.

My 23 is completely random with this, even with an H8 and updated BMS. I've got theories that either the brake system or instrument cluster itself is causing this.

2 things I've noticed related to this.

1) if i get in the truck and sit there awhile before I start it, it happens. I don't know if its maybe 5 minutes or so, but its consistent. I assume after whatever time limit the truck goes back into a lower power state or something.

2) I had a defective factory battery and was getting low battery warnings. When those warnings popped up, i also got that low-fi start up chimes. Battery replaced under warranty and been good since.

Mine also seems infrequent and random, or I haven't noticed the pattern yet. By the way this chime is common on most Ford vehicles. My '22 Explorer also does it (every time). I've even heard it on TV shows.

Mine also consistently happens if I'm sitting in the truck for a while before starting it. Both your scenarios make sense to me as either low battery or lack of user input could put the truck into a sort of sleep mode. To me the harshness of this chime sure sounds like the truck grouchily responding to being woken up from sleep mode.

Hello guys, I’ve been trying to figure this out on my 21, I have done everything from new sensors to new batteries. I also noticed that if I do the same thing like if I unlock my vehicle with a fob before I get on it or it detects the fob most of the time it won’t do it, but if I just open the door or it detects key fob before I get in, it usually does it. strangely I also have a 22 navigator and when it does that vehicle it recovers, so if I don’t use it for a while, sound will start chiming through the IPC but few seconds into the chime it automatically transfers back to the speakers I’m wondering why the F150 don’t do that or it might be a setting that we can change with ForScan.

I have had it happen on my truck 2 or 3 times over the year I've had it. I can't remember the exact details but usually happened when I pushed the start button without holding the brake, putting it into full power accessory mode (or whatever Ford calls key on, engine off in a push button start vehicle) then got out and back in or some weird combination of actions similar to that.
